This is by far the worst-ran restaurant I have ever visited. Popeyes should be embarrassed that this store bears their name. This store needs to be closed until the staff can be replaced and/or retrained.
I arrived at 1:20pm on a Sunday and waited 8 minutes in a drive-thru line that did not move. I decided to park and go inside where it became apparent that the staff was still asking the drive-thru customer to wait to place their order.
The staff was in complete disarray. One worker remarked that she had no idea which orders needed to be filled because they were not being served off the order screen. This worker filled one order by reading it off the customer's phone and filled two others by referencing receipts the customers handed to her. 21 minutes after I arrived at the restaurant, I was finally able to place my order, and 4 minutes later I left with my food.
The person that took my order seemed to be the shift manager, that one that should be setting the example for staff behavior. Our conversation began like this:
"Did somebody get you?" "No, I have not ordered yet." "What's your order?"
Notice the absence of manners and customer service skills in the exchange. I ordered a meal and the worker said they only had medium or large size cups so I ordered a medium. My receipt shows a 0.50 charge for "Sweat Tea 32" but I received a 22oz (small) cup. The worker lied and stole from me.
When my order was ready, the same employee just called out "Hello?" then lifted my food when I looked at her to signal that it was my order and handed it to me without a word as I said "Thank you"
I observed three signs that read "Face mask required for entry": one on the door to the restaurant, one on the door to the employees only area behind the counter, and one on plexiglass between the customers and the cash registers. Despite these signs, three of the four workers I saw were not wearing masks. The fourth had a mask around his chin, with his nose and mouth both exposed.
There were two timers visible near the cash registers. One was Labeled "Sanitize" the other labeled "Hand Wash." Sanitize was set for 60:00 and not running. The hand wash timer was blank.
I was reflecting on the on the obvious failures to adhere to health standards and decided not to eat the food I purchased since I did not have confidence in the food safety practices of the staff. The receipt explicitly states "NO REFUND, FOOD EXCHANGE ONLY."

Read moreI live right around the corner! Last night was only my second time going there! I always went to one on central ave. In Albany! The first time I went to the one near me, "they had just opened". Then the chicken was good, the sides were slimy and cold! So I went back last night hopeing for some comfort food! Wow never again, I asked for mild chix tenders, told I would have to wait, ok,so they offered to make it a mix, I said ok! Not only did I not get a mix, only 1piece of mild, I asked for ranch sauce, didn't get Any!! Ordered unsweetened iced tea... Got very sweet tea (but the very nice girl that was waiting on me said "please check it, it said unsweetened but I'm not sure if it is) Then I had the pleasure of hearing the manager, or whatever he is give Her a hard time because she dumped out the tea that I had already tasted!!! Did he expect her to recycle it??? It sure seemed like that to me since I could hear and see everything!! I've worked as a restaurant manager for a very long time!! Your employees can only be as good as they are trained!! This guy needs to go!!- The young lady that he harrassed in front of me should be promoted, she showed respect, grace, and hopefully for you she still might like her job!! Read moreI went here for a lunch break and waited on line for 15 minutes before the lady took the order of the person first on line 3 people ahead of me. Me and about 3 other customers walked out immediately. I’m not about to waste anymore time coming back here. I could have driven to KFC down the street, received my order, driven back to pop eyes and I would still be on the line. Idk what it is but something is obviously wrong in the employee quality department. There’s not an overload of customers or anything unreasonable that any normal business shouldn’t be able to handle. even if I did have the time I don’t want to stand there for 20 minutes before I even give my order. I had to go to the gas station for lunch instead of eating delicious chicken because this establishments employees don’t know how to take care of customers. I can clearly see all the awesome and tasty looking chicken prepared there and it’s not hard to put it in a box and take my money. I’ll go to other businesses near by where employees actually care about service and maybe where they work a little harder. I don’t know what it is but I’m not going back here though that I do know.
