This ones is tough because the food is okay but the service here is so bad that I will not be returning. I've been here 3 times and each time I leave feeling bothered. I kept wanting to give them another chance and kept getting disappointed. The lady who works the front is very unpleasant. What really upsets me is when she hands me my receipt/food, I always smile and say "thank you" while she does not look at me and doesn't even acknowledge that I've just said, "thank you." As someone who works in the customer service industry, this really bothers me. The last time I went in there, I again to smiled and thanked her... she again, kept looking down/around and just GRUNTED!!! The food is okay but there is definitely better in the area, so, in my opinion... this place should be avoided. Why support a business who treats customers this way? Go to Chan's Peking instead. This was once the closest to NYC Chinese food, in my opinion, in Dutchess County. I hadn't ordered from there since 2022. I picked my order up @11: 50 and happily bought food home for myself, daughter grandson, after bragging about how delicious their food is. I noticed my daughter and Grandson stopped eating, stating they were full. The food tasted like it was left over from the day before...old , stale, and smelled horrible! We all threw our $35.00 worth of food literally down the drain. I was embarrassed, as I had raved about how wonderful the food was going to be. Always quick and excellent food. Reasonably priced. Combination dinners are an excellent value. They offer your typical take out dishes and appetizers. Everything I have gotten was very fresh and flavorful. Dragon Garden does not deliver (because they don't have to) but pick up is always ready, if you call from home before leaving to get your food. So far the best Chinese food in the Poughkeepsie area. I recommend them highly and will order from them again for sure.
