BLISS Juice + Smoothie Bar — Restaurant in Town of Red Hook

I have been to Bliss Smoothie Bar multiple times, both at their old location and their new one, which is lovely. I love a smoothie bowl so I always opt for those: their drip coffee is also quite nice. My complaint: I know it's a smoothie bowl place, I know fresh produce is expensive, and I hope they pay their employees well. I don't expect a cheap smoothie bowl but the prices are bizarre. I feel like I'm getting pranked sometimes. Just to make a smoothie a smoothie bowl is an added charge, but it does not come with any toppings OR any topping recommendations. Add a banana? $1.50 for maybe 1/3 of a banana. $1.25 for a small handful of blueberries. And $2.75 for some just-ok granola. Last time I went I spent $23.25 on one smoothie bowl with the above toppings. Delicious, and a large serving size for the bowl itself, but not worth it at all and it just makes me want to go to Rhinebeck for Sol Cafe & Acai Smoothie Bar, where you get a bowl WITH TOPPINGS for $14.50. I love your establishment but I just don't know how people can justify...

Very happy to have found Bliss. I am new to the area and did a Google search and this place was highly recommended so I took a ride there today. I was able to make my own juice and add a LOT to it without having to break the bank. The gentleman behind the counter was very very helpful. I ordered two juices and as a courtesy he gave us one glass jar juice that I felt was outstanding. I definitely will be back. They have a very huge selection. I recently did a 3-day juice cleanse and the juice quality is really amazing. You can tell that it is made with care and with quality ingredients. I also could tell the ratios of the ingredients were spot on (not adding extra less expensive ingredients - cucumber for example - to fill the jars). The deep green of the juices shows that they were full of spinach, kale or other green ingredients! I really loved all of them and felt so good after the three days.
