I placed an order earlier today through Lucoli’s website (which used a third-party app called Slice). About 15 minutes later, I received an email telling me that the order had been canceled. I called the restaurant to ask them what was going on, and the response I received was essentially “That’s the app’s fault, not ours. We aren’t responsible if the app doesn’t work. Would you like to order over the phone?”

….seriously bro?

Call me a male Karen all you want, but I think it’s perfectly reasonable to assume that a restaurant in late 2024 would be a little more competent at managing their website and ensuring that all online orders go through to the staff. Or, at the very least, they could simply acknowledge that they are at least somewhat responsible for stuff like an online order being randomly cancelled on a customer. The person I spoke to hardly even apologized for what happened.

I love Lucoli’s. I love their personal pizzas. I really do. But I’m sorry, I need to leave this one-star review so that you will at least be aware of this problem and learn to be a bit more competent with maintaining your online ordering service.
