Consistently have to deal with rude employees, mind you me and my family have been coming since they opened at this location. Here are three examples:
I was pumping gas and pulled the hose around because my gas tank was on the other side of the car, a gas attendant made a SUV pull up and almost ran over my foot while I told them to stop, called the store on The way home to report it the person we spoke to said they would call us back with how they dealt with it and we never received a return phone call.
My younger sister who is 13 going on 14 was waiting outside the bathroom when my mother was in the bathroom and an employee approached her and started talking to her and asking where she lived where she went to school things like that very inappropriate questions she obviously got very upset and very scared told my mom once we left and we called the store and reported him and he was never fired, nothing ended up happening to him and he still works there to my knowledge.
I stayed in the car while my mother and sister went in to go shopping I needed to use the restroom and decided to go in the way that leads directly to the food courts that I have gone in hundreds of times and has never had an issue with and the guy stopped me and tells me I’m not allowed to go in that way and my mother needs to come to the door with her card, which is not feasible due to the fact that my mother has rheumatoid arthritis and can barely go in as it is and doesn’t need to be doubling back. Don’t know why this one employee had an issue with it even though it’s not written down anywhere that you’re not allowed to go in that way which we have done multiple times when we are either just picking up a pizza or one of us just needs to use the restroom while the rest...
Read moreLargest Costco I've seen, but unfriendly Tire Department, specially Mr. LUIS, he made it a terrible experience for me to get my flat tire fix because I was not a member. I got the membership because a Supervisor was understanding when she saw me with my flat tire in front of the customer service desk when the tire department won't even hear my situation. She talked to the tire department to allow an one time exception, I explained to the supervisor Helen, that I was not from the area, needed to drive back home for hours at night and didn't wanted to drive on a Donut spare skinny tire and this was the only place open after 5:30 pm to fix my flat tire. After wastimg 45 minutes jumping through hoops, getting supervisor approval, filling form, taking pictures, paying with DEBIT not credit if its not AMEX etc., he still didnt fix my flat tire because "the punture was near the tire's side wall" ... nonesense, the punture was VERY SMALL and repairable, in the tread area of the tire. I was the ONLY person in the tire departmemt, I was nice, patient, respectful, paid their membership when Helen Supervisor got me the one time exception to show her gratitude and still didnt get my tire repair, I asked how much was for a new tire, without checking, Luis from the tire department told me "we don't have that tire", then he 'checked' , Costco didnt have my Michellin tire size 215 65 17, strange, if you know about tires, this is not an unusual tire. After paying for the $55 membership, wasting 45 minutes, I left with my flat tire in my trunk, Driving with a Donut spare tire at 55 mph from River Head L.I....
Read moreThis was absolutely by far the worst experience I ever had at a chain store. A man named Bob, who stands to greet people asked if I have a card to the store, I replied that I don’t and he immediately said you can’t go in. I explained that I was a member at BJ’s and my membership was up for a renewal and just want to look around to see if I wanted to switch my membership to Costco. He would not allow me to go in and look around the store for a few minutes and continued to say you can’t go in without the card. I said that then I will stay with BJ’s and he shouted, “Good! Stay with Bj’s!” Who treats potential customers like this? I find this extremely rude and unprofessional. I don’t even want to be a member at Costco. I would rather spend my money elsewhere. After this unpleasant experience I went and renewed my BJ’s membership. At Bj’s you have pleasant experience, no one will be harassing you at the entrance for a card! I will tell all of my family and friends about my experience at Costco. Already some of my friends and family members will not be renewing their membership to Costco. Costco needs to change their policy and train their Staff to be more professional. Even in the jail they are not strict like that. The man at the door just stood there yelling at everyone who enters “do you have a card? Show me your card!” Or “you get over here!” He was ordering people around worst then in prison. Even would not let in the store a lady who had a Costco card because she had a small service dog. Extremely shocked and disappointed with...
