IHOP — Restaurant in Town of Riverhead

this restaurant is the definition of ok. the food, the staff, the building, its all ok. we got there and was met with staff staring as if we were supposed to go to our own tables, eventually a higher upper led us to one. for some odd reason whenever we eat there (3), we always are put in the same location, near the doors. never once have we sat in the back which is a little odd considering the rest of the patrons were seated there. nonetheless, where we sat was frigid and cold so we deiced to ask if we could move seats, which they did with no hesitation. we were just moved further left of the restaurant, further away from other patrons than before. its fine, as long as were not freezing. keep in mind we went for dinner and it was no where near capacity, they could've moved us anywhere. we order our food with this guy and everything seems afloat, just turns out the entire staff is filled with teens. hey, im 16 myself its totally fine they work there its just that they were fooling around for like no reason. like, we asked for straws to be met with our server flirting with one of his coworkers for 5 minutes, again ik these are tiny complaints but the straws were right next us. i could've easily got some but i tried to be as polite as possible. we get the food and there's multiple mistakes, from having the wrong sides, wrong cheese, even to orders we didn't order; but what can you expect from a ihop completely ran by 17 year olds. jesus, maybe, i put too much into this review but i want to get my point across that this...

Very friendly when walking in. We were sat near two tables. A waitress walked past 4 times in 10 min and never came to help us. Finally she strolled over and took our drink order, mind you this is 12:30 pm prime time lunch. There was only 3 tables including us there. After another 4-5 min we got our drinks, I got unsweet ice tea asked for lemon and drink came no lemon so I had to wait another few min to get a old soggy piece of lemon. Waitress took our order, I gave it to her and she repeated back food I didn’t even mention. It was clear this waitress couldn’t be bothered being there. We were never given napkins my husband got up and took them from their station. No straws he had to do that again. It was by far the WORST service I’ve ever had. My husband go out to eat often. When we were done we waited 20 min for the check and it never came so we went to the front and asked if we could just pay so we could leave. By the way a table was sat next to us and they were smart they walked out after 8-10 min of no waitress...

My wife and I were seated us soon as we walked into IHOP. We were polite and thanked the person who sat us at the booth. This was the best part of our visit here. We were sitting for over ten minutes and no server came to the table. People that came in after us were served and had their drinks. The restaurant was not busy. I stopped a server and told them the situation and she said she would get a server to us. It never happened. We were there for almost twenty minutes and we hopped out of IHOP quickly. As we went to the front three workers were at the door talking to each other instead of working. I am not able to tell you how the food was as we weren't giving the time of day. If they don't want to serve you they should tell you that before they seat you. We were dressed nice with no political statements. We don't wear hats. This should be zero stars as this place doesn't deserve one...
