Taqueria Mexico — Restaurant in Town of Riverhead

Tacos are simple horribly made and not authentic, I travel often and know what a good authentic delicious taco tastes like and this unfortunately is not.

I ordered Suadero tacos and Carnitas as well as an order of nachos with guacamole, the tacos have no taste the meat was bland and I had to add three times the sauce in order to get some flavor hence I was eating only salsa, the nachos were bland aswell and I was only content with the guac how could they screw up something so simple.

I never skimp out based on cost but it's normal to do comparison vs the many other places I been to in NJ and NYC for comparison sake and unfortunately prices exceed the quality and taste of what you get, if your hungry for a taco and you live near here and with all due respect I'm glad I don't becauae I love tacos so much and if you don't mind spending on an overpriced taco then come here I sure won't be back there ever 1 time is sufficient for me, it's all about the taste and not the $ therfore

After years of coming here, I am disappointed with the service today. I ordered tacos and they were fine but my friend ordered tacos al pastor and they had a weird smell almost rancid. We informed the girl working at the restaurant and she however insisted they were fine but we knew they were off because we have been coming for years and they have never smelled like that; you can tell when something is fresh and when something is almost going bad. We then decided not to eat the tacos because we didn't want to risk my friend getting sick which you would think would be something this place of business would find quite concerning. She didn't offer any solution she just kept insisting they were fine but why risk it. We had no problem paying for the food but I would've appreciated them offering a new order of fresh tacos. We thought they have to understand sometimes that happens and you have to own up to it so which is why we respectfully let her know about what was going on. I. The end we just paid for everything, we didn't want to argue so we just paid and left. I never really complain but in this occasion I felt it was right to inform about this situation. I was really hoping to be blown away by this place. I loved my Chorizo Taco, but sadly the rest of the order was a flop. I'm hoping the next time I go, my experience is better.

Essentially I ordered two Carnitas tacos, two chicken (pollo), one Chorizo Taco and one Beef Steak (bistec). 6 total.

We got (1) Chorizo, 2 (Chicken) which I didn't try, and (2) Salted Beef, which was pretty awful, not my thing. It was a 'To-go" order and I didn't notice being shorted till we'd left.

Definitely an authentic feel, and I'll give it another shot, but I was kinda bummed I didn't try their...
