This hidden gem, right along the Peconic River, is one of the most beautiful spots on the North Fork of Long Island. With municipal boat parking, access to all of Riverhead‘s restaurants, breweries, distillery, and museums, not to mention the Suffolk Theatre, the Peconic Riverwalk is definitely worth a visit! Favorite restaurant downtown is LuchaCubano at the old Riverhead Grill! Their sandwiches are phenomenal and the drinks are amazing!

This is a hidden gem!!! Nice and quiet place to getaway from city for quality family time. You can pole/cast net fishing here. No BBQ place here. 3 hours Parking free. Clean bathroom. Travel time from Manhattan around 1h 30 mins, 8 miles Very clean park, peoples are very friendly and safe place to enjoy your time. Just be wary of bugs/ticks in the brush.

Lovely park to walk along the river. We came for the Carboard boat race and we had a blast!! You can watch the boats and canoes on the water as you walk. Many places to eat too. We ate at the Turkish restaurant and it was great! Great place to visit with families on the weekend for peaceful walk.
