Longo's Park Deli — Restaurant in Town of Rye

Called this morning to place an order for this evening. The man who answered was extremely RUDE. I've worked in the service industry for a while and I've NEVER encountered service this despicable. When he answered he didn't greet me, just waited for me to start talking, when I did he said hello. I asked if he could hear me. He said no. Which confused me, because he answered my question. Then he said "who is this?" I gave him my name. He said "why are you calling?" I said I'd like to place an order for this evening. He said "when?" He abruptly cut me off and said, no you can't place an order. So I hung up. I understand having a strict 48 hr. policy, but the way he treated me was UNEXCEPTABLE. While I no longer live in Port Chester area, I continue to use Longo's Park Deli for all our catering needs - even if it means having it delivered to me in Stamford, and then we transporting it to our daughter in Shelton. Wouldn't trust another deli anywhere when having a large catered party. I have known Tony Longo for years and years..and he has never changed! Personable, caring and with a great staff - especially Joanne who runs the catering desk to perfection. Joanne is knowledgeable, able to guide the customer to the right selections and quantity - she is right on the money for sure! My daughter's "new home" party was a huge success and everyone love the food choices and the quality! Used to come almost everyday. Over the winter I would order something simple and would wait forever as whoever took order forgot. All it was to heat some chicken meanwhile everyone else would order sandwiches and cold cuts and get before my order when they ordered after I ordered. Stopped coming for a while, then the pandemic happened and didn’t eat out for a while

Today we decided to go again, figure I’d start fresh and try again. Once again all in order was a few pieces of chicken. NEVER GOT. Same as before, everyone else gets there orders That ordered afterwards. Got fed up waiting and trying to flag someone. Will never spend another dime here again.
