I would absolutely have given this place zero stars if there were an option. I stepped in last night with a group of girls, and was condescendingly greeted by the owner whose behavior completely shocked me.
I had a cup in my hand, now don’t get me wrong I understand completely that you do not walk into a bar with a cup. I honestly wasn’t paying much attention to the fact that I had the cup, nor did I drink from it at any point at the bar. In fact upon entering the bar, I had thought to throw the cup away but there were no trash cans outside. So, we all sat down and the owner approaches me kindly which quickly turns sour as he ask what’s in my cup, in which I respectfully tell him. He basically tells me to go outside. At this point I was confused and couldn’t quite understand why he didn’t just get to the point and ask me to throw the cup away. I would have done so, without resistance. Then he starts talking about how “you wouldn’t bring sand to a beach”. Which really offended me at this point because it started to feel like he was looking to insult me and argue. I told him that he was being completely disrespectful and I couldn’t believe the treatment and what felt like harassment I was receiving from this guy. I asked him if he treated all his guest like this, his response was, “your not a customer yet, all you have is water”. My blood was boiling at this point and of course I decided not to spend my money there and left. All I could really say to this guy was WOW.
I am not a hard person to get along with, I never come off rude or disrespectful. So I couldn’t understand why this guy the owner was behaving in such a way over a cup. If he felt offended by me bringing a cup into his establishment, then there is a correct and professional way to handle this.
To be quite honest I could feel some sort of tension when I entered the establishment. Either this guy has some issues with race, or perhaps he may have been a misogynist. I’m not sure but never have I ever had such an experience, and I am so heavily...
Read morePersonally I think this is one of the most underrated food spots in all of Westchester County. I live near the border in Greenwich and its a go to. I’ll start with some must trys. First off you have their steak sandwich. It’s a full piece of steak, not chopped up Philly style. Always get mixed peppers hot and sweet. House made bbq sauce is already on it, but you have to ask for a side of Sam’s Sauce. Comes with fries and if you’re feeling a little wild throw those on there as well. Incredible. Another staple there is their wings. Super simple and straight forward. To give you an idea of how good they are we did a vote for the best wings in Greenwich (just over the border) and they won the fan vote. Like I said, anything on their menu is outstanding, but if you want the full experience to start I’d go with a steak sandwich and wings for an app. What the hell throw in some super tots and popcorn shrimp as well. Tell’em...
