Violet's Bakery — Restaurant in Town of Saugerties

Violets is our favorite weekend spot for treats. Sina and her bakers are so talented. Everything is made with love. We order cakes for birthdays often and they are just as great as the scones and muffins. Keep an eye out for rosemary pear muffins. Incredible. I saw their booth at the Saugerties farmer’s market today and got one of their (I forget the name, but it’s sort of like pizza toppings on pasty dough). I was so blown away by their roasted tomato, basil, and goat cheese one that on my way out of town I had to stop by the bakery location to try the caramelized onion, mushroom, and blue cheese version. They were both to die for and I don’t know which was better. Definitely coming back every time...

This bakery has such delicious treats! We got a couple of pastries and we were amazed with the taste! It was the perfect balance of sweet and tart. It tasted very fresh. The staff was friendly and helpful. The place is clean. There is no where to sit. It’s easy to get something quick to go! I recommend this place. Yummy...
