Bagel Express — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

I ordered online to pick up and my service dropped so I called back. The same gentleman answered and was very nice and patient, took my order and I forgot to ask for salt, pepper and ketchup on my egg sandwich and he kindly asked if I wanted to add it so kudos for the attention to detail. I arrived and parking is sufficient and it’s right off the main road so it’s easy to access. The Chinese lady greeted me at the counter and was genuinely nice and warm toned and asked if I was there for pick up. My breakfast was ready and she rung me up for $6 and offered me a free coffee which I declined. They sue take debit with a $5 minimum and they use a modern payment device so no pin is needed if you don’t mind that and paying is instant so no waiting on that end either, I was in and out in less then 3 min. The place had a decent amount of seating and was very clean and the customers seemed to be enjoying themselves. This place is a winner and sets the bar high for the other establishments in the area. I ordered an everything bagel with 2 fried eggs, sausage and pepper jack cheese (my only critique would be that they did put a very thin slice of cheese I would have liked to taste more of it) and it was delicious. 7/21/21 - I went in with my girlfriend, ordered a bagel with cream cheese and jelly, they charge me $3.99 and I received a bagel with almost no cream cheese and the jelly was all over the place, I had to go to the bathroom and wash my hands due to the jelly nastiness and then demand a refund for this horrendous bagel. The more concerning issue, was the fact that I saw a bald man working there, who was peeling potatoes in the back with no gloves on also while eating and drinking. Then I see the same bald man come to the front, to cook eggs for a customer - again with no gloves on. That is beyond unsanitary and I believe violates NYS health codes. I rather starve then ever come back to this...

My husband and I come here quite often and order the same thing. For the last 8+ months, every time we ordered it would be a different price. Today was the tipping point when it came to over $17 for 2 bagels with spread and 2 Snapple’s. We called out the clerk and said there was no way it was that much. She redid the order and it was $1 less. We asked for a receipt and everything was logged as a “custom order”. We said you’re just making up prices and it sad because we’re repeat customers.
