Dunkin' — Restaurant in Town of Smithtown

I went there today at 8:30, and as expected, there was a long line and long wait. I thought it was just because it was rush-time as everyone was getting breakfast before work, but when I reached the menu to give the staff my order, I heard laughter for a few minutes before actually giving them my order. The person also didn’t give me the order amount and instead thought I was the next person in line and asked for my order.

I thought I had caught them when someone said the one funny thing that morning and didn’t think anything of it, but when I reached the window, I saw the staff goofing around, chatting and playing (someone was jumping around). The person helping me was recovering from hysterical laughter and wasn’t paying attention to me. They gave me the wrong drink size (thankfully, it was larger than what I ordered), and she told me at the window after I paid that they didn’t have the donut flavor I wanted. She offered a different flavor, and I told her I wish I had known that before I paid and when I originally ordered.

It took her a while to come back with the replacement donut. So, the whole reason why they were holding up customers and making everyone late was because they weren’t paying attention, were goofing around and showed very little professionalism.

So I’ve been going to this drive thru everyday for almost a year now and everyone is so nice except this one short haired Spanish woman. I literally have to jump out of my car window to get my drink because she refuses to reach out. I mean people go through a drive thru because it’s more convenient and she’s making it very inconvenient for me. I’ve never said anything until today- I said can you please reach out more I can’t get my coffee and she refused saying there’s a table in her way then mumbled “maybe don’t be so fat then” which is absurd I’m in my car how can you see me?? And I’m 130 pounds at 5’5.

I was running early to work so i decided to stop and get a chai through the drive through. I ended up being 20 minutes late to work. I saw multiple cars escape the drive through line, but i was kind of trapped in there so I just had to be patient. By the time I finally got to the order screen it took them 5 minutes to take my order. Then I pulled up to the window to pay and it was another ten minutes waiting. During this time I watched as three to four customers tried walking into the dunkin to order at the counter, and they all were ignored and left before even being greeted. I understand staffing issues and I could see that the two employees were trying their best. I think I am a patient person but this was really testing me. Hopefully they get some more staff or something and until then, maybe just dont go to this dunkin if...
