Ambiance (5/5): The inside reminds me of a nicely decorated home-- walls lined with mirrors and paintings, nice ceiling lighting, mood lighting, moderately fancy dining setting. The inside is moderately loud with the establishment divided into 3 different areas, one shared with the bar. We sat in a booth which proved to be a fairly tight space and dimly lit. Service (5/5): We visited during Father’s Day. I’m not sure if it is typical or not, but we had two dedicated servers (Sarah and Conor?) throughout our whole dining experience. As such, we felt attended to 100% throughout our entire experience. Both were delightful in providing us not only prompt but also courteous treatment. Other bussing services came around to refill waters and clear out tables appropriately as well. Manager came to check in toward the end of the experience too! Food Table Bread (5/5): The toasted buttered and seasoned bread was phenomenal. It was fresh and not too toasted that it was soft yet crispy. There were also some included crackers along with a small side of whipped butter. Side of salad (5/5): The choice of variety of dressings. The creamy cucumber dressing (recommended by our server) did not disappoint. I was very happy that the salad was generous in the variety in all kinds of fresh vegetables. Our table opted for 2 of the day’s specials: 1 appetizer: Pace’s Slab Bacon (5/5) had a very smoky taste and the taste was not the same without all elements presented on the plate: tomato, white onion, and tomato spread. Enjoyed together, the bite was delicious. Stuffed Salmon (3/5): The salmon was very tender and the stuffed component has a very mushy texture. With the sauce providing a very creamy and buttery aftertaste to the meal. It was so rich that without a base of starch (like rice or pasta) or any vegetables for that matter, I need something to soak up the rest. However, very filling and deliciously seasoned. The lack of any sides kind of left me wanting more even for an entrée. Porterhouse for 2 (3/5): The biggest disappointment for us was the porterhouse. I think we were at least expecting it to be cooked to our liking which was supposed to be “medium” and it was definitely on the “medium-rare” side. The meat itself was pretty tough to chew/cut/eat and hardly seasoned to enjoy on it’s own unlike other steaks we’ve had. The charring tastes did not come through. We were plenty full after just ordering 1 app and 2 dishes for our party of 4. Overall, the service was...
Read moreWe went for my birthday dinner on 11th September, we were escorted to our table by hostess, Brian and and another girl sorry I don't remember the name were our servers. Brian and girl was very informative as they provided with all the specials and 86 items from the menu. We ordered French onion soup and special appetizer Bacon slab which was good. We were 4 people we ordered 1 Fillet Mignon, 2 petite Fillet Mignon and Rack of Lamb along with sides of Garlic Mash, sautéed Broccoli with garlic, Port wine sauce and Bearnaise sauce. Fillet Mignon and one of the petite Fillet Mignon was ordered with Medium Well, second Petite Fillet Mignon was ordered Medium, I ate Rack of Lamb which was ordered Medium Rare. When food came my Rack of Lamb came like Medium Well so I told the busser that I ordered Medium Rare and he said yes sir it is Medium Rare, do you want it more cooked. So I told him that I want Medium Rare and it's Medium Well so he said let me take it back. My wife Fillet Mignon which was ordered Medium Well was more like Well Done but she ate without saying anything. While I was waiting for my Rack of Lamb to be prepared again, my wife also kept waiting for me. Second Rack of Lamb came which was like Medium still not Medium Rare so the busser who brought the food asked me how is this Rack of Lamb so I said it's better but not Medium Rare so he said sir it is Medium Rare cut and see. So I cut and showed him and other 3 people who were on the table with me. Garlic Mash didn't had any garlic other than just little on the top of the Mash and I think reason for that is they have option of plain Mash or Garlic mash so the chef just put the Mash and little garlic on the top rather than reheating the Mash and mixing the garlic in it so that it can have garlic flavor. Sautéed Broccoli with garlic, it came with garlic but unfortunately garlic wasn't cooked, it had Raw flavor and taste. We ordered for dessert 2 chocolate lava cake, 1 Creme Brulee and Rainbow Cookie. Chocolate Lava cake or Molten Chocolate Cake name derives from the dessert's liquid chocolate center. Chocolate lava cake didn't had soft center so the excitement of Lava cake was also spoiled. It was not good experience and my birthday dinner was spoiled. I am from Hospitality industry and I have been working for more than 14 years around the world so I know how things are cooked or need to be cooked. My Rack of lamb was taken...
Read moreDecent, at best. My partner and I dined there on our date night because a friend of ours is now working there, Taylor (love him). Unfortunately, he wasn’t working that evening, but he set us a with an overall nice and very professional waitress, Alex. The steakhouse itself is very-traditional and overall outdated. If you’re looking for an up to date steakhouse that is modernized; this is certainly not, the one. The environment energy and overall vibe was was unpleasant. Clientele wise, it was geared more towards families and/or an older outdated crowd. Stereotypical Long Islanders and I’m not referring to the pleasant to be around kind. For example, the bar area gave off a dive-bar aesthetic and trashy ‘Middle America,’ overall feeling (energy/vibe wise). It isn’t a large restaurant and so it was rather loud; of which, I don’t mind at all, but preferably when around more modernized clientele who aren’t outdated and up with the current times. Our food was good, not great, but not bad either. Definitely, not good enough to go back for; appetizers were decent, entrees were good and dessert was lovely. Supposedly, we came on the “Right night,” cocktail wise because the bartender working allegedly was known for their espresso martini’s, but they were average, at best. The manager wasn’t friendly upon arrival, but did make his way around to our table (as a manager typically should) to check-in and ensure our experience was enjoyable. The hostesses were both welcoming and friendly, the busboy’s were attentive and although the valet workers were friendly; it was a nightmare getting my car back from valet, but I blame that on their size parking lot and not the valets themselves. Overall, I won’t ever be returning, but if you’re looking for any of the above; then it’s worth a try for locals, but certainly not worthy of traveling for anyone outside the...
