The store front its self is very welcoming and inviting, it just grabs your attention as you drive by. We have been patiently waiting for months for this establishment to open, and it was definitely worth the wait. The establishment was very bright and the decor was just fun. The staff were very friendly and didn’t mind that I was taking a ton of photos, they actually encouraged the reviews. I expected to see some many different kinds of cheesecake but we saw much more than that. The first thing that caught my eye was the Macaroons tower with so many assorted flavors to choose from. My daughter got a strawberry flavor one and was very satisfied with it. The next thing that caught my eye was the cake in a jar. I love cake in a jar and now being able to have an establishment that sell it so close to home is always a plus for me. Let’s not forget the banana pudding. This banana pudding tastes like mine so in that case it was pretty awesome and I have no complaints. We ordered a NY Style Cheesecake with strawberry and my daughter loved it. The next time we return we will order cheesecake on a stick. Next we sampled some ice-cream flavor and cotton candy was everything. Then we ordered a slice of cake, I was torn between a slice a cake or cupcake. So I just ordered a slice and was not disappointed. It was the perfect amount of icing and very moist and fluffy inside, it just melted in my mouth. I can’t wait to try the cupcake and the big cookie and some of the other treats. I also notice they have a coffee selection but I’m not a coffee drinking so I can comment on that. There is a lot of space to dine in and one...
Read moreCheesecake was delicious but CUSTOMER SERVICE left more to be desired…
Had been dying to try this place out as many neighbors had been talking about it. My wife and I entered at 11:55 AM on a Sunday morning and the place had no customers in it. A gentleman was in the back area and a younger man was in the front prepping a cheesecake with toppings. As we entered the door, the wind was loud enough that you could hear us come in. Expecting.to enter to a warm greeting that matched the cute decor, we were unpleasantly turned off when we were greeted instead with silence after both gentlemen looked up for a split second and said not a single hello to us. We awkwardly tried to fill the silence for 10 minutes while making banter with one another about the various selections they had. We considered leaving after 10 minutes had passed, at which point I awkwardly blurted out, “How does this work…do we just yell out our order to you?”. Both gentlemen finally acknowledged our presence and the man in the front blankly stated I’ll be with you in a minute, with no apology offered. Overall spent about $28 on 3 slices of cheesecake. In fairness, the cheesecake was legit and delicious but I refuse to return to a place where I do not feel welcome. Leaving this review in hopes that this doesn’t happen again to me or anyone else. I will give it the benefit of the doubt and return one more...
Read moreThis is a follow up to two months ago. Please, if you rent an apartment read this.
I pay $2,700 for an apartment above the Dirty Cheesecake in Smithtown, NY. I had no idea they play music seven/7 days a week from 10 AM to Midnight. It’s not simply the volume, add base/vibrations.
Their speakers are below my living room, bedroom and bath.
Six weeks ago I spoke to one of their managers and the Property Manager is aware. I agreed; I will deal with their music from 10 am to Midnight every day of the week. However, I was guaranteed Midnight to 10 am no noise. I believe that is more than fair.
Sometimes, their closing staff forgot then off the music. So, at 3 am I hear Bruno Mars or Katy Perry. I have been so respectful.
This week it has been loud. The DC music can on at 8:50 AM today - Mother’s Day. A day to sleep in? I called the Dirty Cheesecake twice (9:05 and 9:09 am). “Abide by our agreement and do not play your sound/music until 10 am.”
Nothing. I went down to their back door, it was open, to state the same. 10 AM. The woman said she would call the police! I have the entire video. I went down alone, I didn’t threaten anyone. I just said to turn the music off until the agreed upon time, 10 AM.
I will not let this go. I will pursue legally but to be bullied and lose sleep by the Dirty...
