Rio Brazilian Wax was undoubtedly THE BEST waxing experience I have ever had. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the certificates verifying the salon was up to date with health codes and new standards due to COVID-19. As a frontline healthcare worker this put me at ease and I felt even better as I walked through the salon and saw how IMPECCABLY CLEAN the entire salon was kept. It's also decorated in a way which made me feel calm despite the anxiety I have towards waxing.

My previous waxing experiences have not been too great but I keep waxing because it is better for me (my body/my hair) than shaving or other hair removal methods. The wax that was used on my body was different than any kind of wax I have had before! Vanessa (the woman who completed my services) explained this is the wax used in Brazil where the waxing method of hair removal originated. I don't know too much about wax but I do know that this wax hurt significantly less than other waxes I've had before. The "rip" did not hurt nearly as much as I thought it would and I felt this was especially true with my bikini/brazilian areas. Usually I'm in agonizing pain just aching to get out of the salon but at Rio Brazilian Wax I was positively astounded by my experience.

Vanessa was evidently experienced in her work and techniques. She worked quickly and I had my full body waxed in almost no time! I felt relaxed while in my room and appreciated the conversations Vanessa had with me. She spoke to me about skincare and provided a few solutions to help me with some other hair and skin problems I have. For the work done I thought the pricing was fair and for the great experience I had I would say I didn't pay her enough!!

For anyone with sensitive skin... this is the salon you need to go to for your services. For anyone who has stopped waxing because of bad experiences... this is the salon that will change your mind. For anyone considering waxing for the first time... this is absolutely the place to go!

Absolutely love it here!!! Seriously the best wax I’ve ever had!!! I’ve been consistently waxing for a little over a year and I happened to come across here not too long ago. The other places I would go to would not be that pleasant, they would burn my skin because the wax was too hot, I started getting a lot of ingrown hairs where it was uncontrollable (I know it was not their fault) but they would never try to remove the ingrown hairs or give me advice on how to manage them. Vanessa was so great! She was very gentle when doing the waxing and did not miss a spot!! She makes the waxing as painless as possible and makes me feel comfortable. She helped take care of my ingrown hairs and gave me advice on how to manage them. It’s been a little over 2 weeks since I got waxed and everything is great! I do not have as many ingrown hairs as I usually do around this time. Definitely recommend this place 100% if you’re new to waxing or looking for a new good...

I was looking for a new place to get waxed that wasn't a franchise or a spa and after reading the great reviews and looking on the website I made an appointment! I'm so happy I did and will be going here from now on and nowhere else!! You could not only tell that the owner Vanessa has years of experience but that she genuinely cares for each clients needs!
