I've never had any real problems here until lately. Tim Hortons (in general) has it so you pay extra for certain things, like whipped cream and extra cream cheese for example. I've noticed the "extra cream cheese" doesn't really do anything and it's by no means "extra", it's actually typically less than what Dunkin puts on regularly. So steer clear of that, perhaps at all locations.
The real turning point today that has prompted me to make a review is the interaction I had with a woman at the drive thru window. I was not greeted by her, though I greeted her. I paid extra for whipped cream, and it wasn't on when I got there. That is not by itself a big deal at all, so I just said that I paid for that and would like if they could put some on. She didn't say a single word in response to that, but turned around and began to audibly talk about it to the other workers in an annoyed tone, saying she "didn't see it" on the order. It very much felt like she assumed I was lying or something, but didn't say anything to me so I didn't really have any opportunity to clarify. I had the order ready on my phone to show (I ordered on the app) but of course that wasn't asked, since she didn't say a single word to me the entire time. She then put it on, and I said thank you, have a nice day, and again, silence. I wasn't given a straw, so I had to park and go in and get one. I didn't feel comfortable asking her for one at the window.
All of these things individually are not a huge deal, but together it made me feel very inconvenient to the worker. I have worked in the industry and I understand having a bad day or whatever, but it was just rude. I didn't see a name tag but it was a younger woman who had "supervisor" on her sleeve. It was around 12:15 on Saturday July 1st. I mention that because if I did see a name, I would be giving it. Not a single decent gesture was made the entire time and I made sure to be extra nice and polite since I always feel bad when I have to ask more of a worker, especially being a person who has worked a...
Read moreWow great service even in the afternoon, I originally gave a 3 star rating a year ago to this location , but definite changes have occurred here and I would give 5+ if I could now! , coffee hot and fresh, food made correct to order and was fresh and at correct temp, nice assortment of doughnuts and pastries at mid day and best of all great friendly, happy service!!!! Tim the gentleman who took our order was friendly, made a great suggestion (yes Tim those peppermint timbits were great!) what impressed me was how he even took the time to acknowledge every customer thanking them or joking with his"regulars" as they exited. He is a great asset to this location and made my husband and I feel like old friends. In this day and age where it's hard to experience outstanding service Tim and the crew here today showed that there are still establishments who do care and understand that their livelihood depends on their customers. So Thank you Tim and the other staff who made our experience today at this...
Read moreThe donuts and other baked goods behind the case aren't bad, but the hot food from the menu has been very disappointing no matter what I try. The tea is great and very reasonably priced. There is a mix of good and bad staff. Some of the employees are friendly and courteous, others say almost nothing at all, with a kind of dead eyed expression that is a little uncomfortable for customer service, and a tone that sounds impatient. So that's hit or miss. The wifi isn't lightning fast, about average for free WiFi, I'm not complaining. But sometimes it has trouble prompting the agreement to use the WiFi. I usually have to disconnect and reconnect several times before it works properly. Once it's connected you're good though. The bathrooms are nicely maintained in NY experience.
Overall it depends on what you order and who rings you up. You might have a good experience or...
