Savona's Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Ulster

If I could rate this less than 1 star I would. My coworkers and I, who work at a local healthcare facility, order from here quite often (about 3x/week). We love their salad bowls and we're trying to be a bit healthier. The service was great at first, we usually do delivery because we dont have time to run out to pick up. However, their service quickly declined. We usually order around 10am. As of late, we have been waiting hours for delivery after our order, which is usually anywhere from 50-70$. Weve waiting til 3p for an order before. Most recently however, we placed our order at 1055am, and by 1245 our food hadn't arrived. I called back around 11am to see if I could add a salad to our order. Whomever answered the phone took my order, asked me to hold, and put me on hold. Another woman got on and told me itd be impossible to add because the driver already left with our order. Were located maybe 10min from this place. By 1245, our food hadn't arrived and we called to check on our order. They started that they left our order on the fax machine and never made it, and it would be 45min more for them to do so. Mind you, this is after I called 5min after the original order and they said I couldnt add anything b/c they already left. Their service is consistantly late, rude, and unacceptable. I’ve dined in and have delivery ordered to my home and everything was delicious on point except the fact this place used to let me order delivery to my address on Franklin st for years but now they won’t let me order to my address anymore telling me i have to order from the plaza pizza ! Since when does any business force someone to order where they want them to order from? I’ve been told this is all over a family feud and my address is in the territory of plaza pizza ! If i wanted to order from there then I would have called them.!!! Unfortunately they do not offer the same choices as the Savonas on Morton blvd. I should be able to order delivery from wherever I want it’s my money and I should not be forced to order food because of your “rival” that’s bs . I’ve been a customer at both places for more then 20 years have brought my children family and friends to both establishments and spent thousands of dollars over the years . It’s really ridiculous that the owner of the plaza pizza would get upset because I wanna order from the other Savonas like grow up already and get over it. And for Savonas on Morton blvd your wrong too for trying to force me into ordering from the plaza when you should have told them...

CORRECTION!!! And extra update! Once I got to speak with Danny Savona I couldn’t be more pleased! He went above and beyond to accommodate me and my family! My son’s graduation was a hit thanks to him and the team at plaza pizza! I can’t thank them enough for being amazing! I apologize publicly for my former review. A second chance was more than I could imagine in an amazing way.

UPDATE, once this posted I was contacted and my issue was addressed.

I’m so disappointed. I have been ordering for years and the most recent time I was overcharged by the delivery person adding money to the tip portion of my receipt.
