Today June 9, 2023 at 10:40 am my husband and I appeared at the Spectrum Store 1161 Ulster Ave, Kingston NY to return obsolete Spectrum equipment including receivers, wires and remotes. We went to our upstate NY home from Long Island - about 220 miles to capture the equipment after canceling our account. When we discontinued the account our Spectrum rep asked us to kindly return the equipment. The Spectrum online site stated that we could deliver the equipment to a Spectrum store and as a courtesy attempted to do that. When we arrived we attempted to give the box of equipment to the counter person who said we must sign in on an electronic sign in board and get behind a long line of other customers. The electronic board accepted my first name but wouldnāt recognize my last name. There was no rep to help. My husband took the box which included all the equipment and a Spectrum bill which included our account and identifying information - he left it at the representative counter and the employee announced they would not record the hand delivered equipment unless we returned to the sign in device and wait on line. My husband declined their inappropriate demand and direction and left the equipment in their care and custody. We are probably going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, NYS Atty General and NYS Financial Services and perhaps the US consumer advocates unless a timely receipt is received. Our appearance and delivery should be supported by store video at or about this day at 10:40 AM. We will never use Spectrum again and my husband will make all contacts! Incredible- read the below response it continues to jerk the client/customer around- speaks volumes of the shop. Hey shop owner notify your lawyers and superiors to get ready for...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDear spectrum, Iāve been a loyal customer for decades and as we all know Spectrum could not care less about their loyal subscribers. Mind you Spectrum acquired Time Warner Cable years ago and in all honesty I think I preferred Time Warner over Spectrum. I will not go off on a complete rant here but here is just one of many issues Iāve had:
Contact Spectrum in an attempt to get my Wi-Fi bill down from $80 a month so I called and got the runaround and was told that they couldnāt and wouldnāt work with me. I decided to cancel and go with T-Mobile internet which has been exactly $50 a month no fees that spectrum claims not to have.
Now!! Iāve been getting in the mail a 2 year contract flyers for $29.99 a month internet and Iām just not doing it. I will pay T-Mobile the extra $20. Iād imagine even after this special offer I received only after cancelling their internet service it would most definitely still be much more than $50 and after two years who knows what it will be but Iād guess would shoot up to $100 a month come 2026.
Stay away from Spectrum if you care about your hard earned money and customer loyalty.
My only apology is posting in this particular store. I have no issue with this store in particular but this is āmy Spectrum storeā as in my local spectrum where I returned my Wi-Fi router. I still have their cable but Iām not sure for how...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI can not say enough good things about all the exceptional staff here. Alivia was so patient and helpful. The activation of two phones took some time but she handled everything. Alivia saved me so much from having to deal with my previous companies and made it so smooth to transfer our current numbers. All of the staff were friendly and helpful, Doug was the samsung guru and was happy to share helpful tips and show me things on the new phone. I am so grateful the customer service there was so sensational. I would recommend coming here, I was given honest opinions and facts about products that really helped me make the best decision for myself. And they even helped me with my internet to get me the best possible deal. Again I am very grateful for the patient friendly staff that was so nice and...
