Sonic Drive-In — Restaurant in Town of Wallkill

Love sonic but this place is slow. SADLY I SAW THEM LOSE BUSINESS RIGHT INFRONT OF ME BC NOBODY WAS INFRONT! GUY JUST WALKED AWAY when i told him just go in and hit the bell or go through the drive through. HE LEFT N SAID NO N DIDNT LIKE HE DIDNT SEE NOT 1 EMPLOYEE! HE WENT TO TACO BELL. The employees are in the kitchen never to be seen until you ring a bell unless you go through the drive in. Ive been to other sonics that are busier. Feels deserted. I like the seating outside but no umbrellas. There was garbage all outside the end of the drive through when I came. It was from one garbage can to the next at the end. I picked it up but the cans were overflowing. Maybe I just caught them on a bad day bc wasn't messy the last time. The drive through stations were clean though and inside clean! Its a nice place to park order and eat calmly! I sat outside for an hour n never once saw an employee cleaning or doing anything but its very quiet/slow here. If you didn't know the setup/read the sign inside you would think when you went inside they were closed due to TV off and no lights on inside n can't see any employees bc in back behind a door but there is music on. I get saving money though. I'd rather have the place open then everything lit up n being blinded by lights! I like how the inside menu board isnt a tv screen! I like that there are no walk up electronic ordering stations like McDonald's which feels cold now! You can't watch ur food being made or see anything though bc behind a door. I NEVER HAVE THOUGH HAD A PROBLEM WITH FOOD HERE THOUGH! NEVER GOTTEN SICK N ITS HOT ALWAYS N TASTES RIGHT! STAFF HAS ALWAYS BEEN VERY NICE AND HELPFUL/WAS VERY CARING AND COMPASSIONATE! You can make combos w a desert! Wait time isn't long either! THEY R VERY KIND THE STAFF! I just think a few tweaks and things would be alot better but do understand the restaurant isn't in the best area/crime/poverty. Although I feel very safe outside n inside eating! It's kinda a hidden gem needing a little work. Low staff bc not super busy. I like not crowded n too busy. I like small quiet. There is handicapped parking and accessible tables for wheelchairs. No booth seats just metal chairs n picnic tables outside which is nice! You can even order from outside from the picnic tables but don't suggest it. There is a bathroom. I liked that I could eat then have a cig/hit...

If I could give this 0 stars I would, first you walk in to a warm lobby and a disgustingly sticky floor, you have to knock on the door to get service… ordered a #3 no tomato.. when I received my order; the burger, had tomato on it and as I was taking the tomato off I noticed 3 hairs sticking out of the side.. after I showed the girl at the counter she immediately said “not me” and yelled kitchen… another associate came from the back, and asked what happened.. I told her, and proceeded to explain I’d like my money back.. the associate said she couldn’t do that since her manager wasnt there.. I asked her to call the manager, as she rolled her eyes she proceeded to do so. She hangs up and gives my my money back just for the burger. I explained that wasn’t what I paid for the meal. She said I was only getting a refund because I ate the rest(which I didn’t because I immediately threw it out after showing the first associate..)disgruntled she calls backs and said he is only giving you the money back for the burger and that’s it (not even sure she really called back).. I told her to check the garbage because I didn’t eat it. She said couldn’t give me the rest of my money back so I told her to give me the rest of my order. Out of sheer principle I wanted the rest of the order. Without eating a bite I threw it out.

Not happy at all with the service of this place. Unprofessional, immature and not clean. 5 guys is just down the road and is a better...

Wish I could give zero stars went few days ago for the first time I quiet a while to get my daughter a shake and on a whim got a burger and really enjoyed it. Should have stopped there just took my daughter for a last minute dinner and was one of my worst experiences ever had. For one app would not work said was too close to closing time even though we were in the parking lot so the .99 cillli cheese fries were 2.99 and the half price slushy could not be gotten at discount no real big deal but we then had to wait 20 min at drive thru line only to get home to find not only was there was mustard on all the burgers that I requested not be put on any them. There was also onions and lettuce that 1/4 burger is not even supposed to have. Then it really got bad my daughters 1/4 lb burger that was ordered as just burgers and cheese nothing else well it had katchup ,mustard, onion, lettuce and the icing was what I can only guess was one large 1/4 patty torn in half making the two smaller patties to make a 1/4lb double . You want to talk about discussing especially in a time of co-vid they will just tear a larger burger patty in half to make a smaller double. Then you want me to feel safe eating your food. It all went in the trash and they just lost this families...
