Carry-Out ONLY I've been ordering carryout for months but finally ate inside and now I don't want to return. Namaste has great food, the authentic recipes of the "grandmother" but sadly it feels/looks like a restaurant that the "parents" bought and the "kids" ran into the ground. 1) There needs to be a seat yourself sign as the hostess is the waiter so can't be two places at once so it's awkward to see groups standing confused where to go only to be later told to "sit wherever you like". 2) Basmati Rice is the CHEAPEST item on the menu. Yet, they bring you the tiniest stingy amount. EVEN IN A CARRYOUT ORDER. They provide a small portion rice for 1 meal. So we immediately requested rice for my meal. We are told it would be refilled and never got it. We then waited ...and waited. My hot food got cold (see photo) so we requested to pack it up and requested more rice which they finally brought. **IF YOU ORDER 2 MEALS, they pack you TINY rice for 1 person. THEY CHARGE YOU FOR RICE for the second meal. If you order a meal that comes with rice, why not give each meal their own rice? I am not paying to BEG for rice that should come with each meal. This has happened everytime we've ordered. 3) Loud Club Music Videos -Everytime you come in on the monitor/blaring are music videos. We like all music, but its so loud and not the visuals you want for an older person/kid. 4) Don't let the white tablecloth fool you, its not upscale or tidy. The seats are peeled and dirty (see photo), walls, bathrooms, show that either they are not cleaned regularly or not thoroughly. What a shame to let good food but canceled by horrible service, dirty atmosphere and rice...
Read moreThe restaurant looks top notch and spacious. It's situated well on the road for the world to see. Plenty of car parking, disabled parking, and bathroom privileges. The restaurant appeared to me to have more take away customers than dine in.
Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Samosa chat was excellent. I got what I asked for and what I expected. The chicken saagwala was delicious, however, it would be nice to know if it was mustard or spinach leaves they used for saag. Laccha Paratha was not what I expected, I didn't get the layers and it was only 1 serving for the price.
Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The waiter was kind, polite, and welcoming. I was welcomed and seated promptly. Menu was given, however didn't explain any specials or recommendations from the menu. The menu was small and well structured. Another waitress tripped and fell I hope she's doing okay. The other waiter who didn't serve me was kind and concerned about my likes and dislikes and asked if everything is satisfactory. I dropped a salt shaker to see if anyone would help me, and to my delight I was assisted and told not to worry about. Test passed and 5 stars for customer service.
Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐½ The place is so good, looks renovated or recently opened. Very clean, waiters well dressed, good Punjabi music on the large screen, and the bathrooms are well kept.
Recommendations: Use less cream in the curries. Up the game on the breads. The table cloths are too big for the smaller tables. Use a different lock for the bathroom doors as it might be confusing for some...
Read moreSo I have been here 4 times and the last 3 were great besides the slow service. To start when given my sauce I immediately noticed a piece of hair and kindly called the waiter over to show him without being loud about it and to avoid other customers from hearing. I was then brought my daughter’s food from the kids menu which I misread as chicken over rice. It was actually chicken salad over rice but looked like an adult salad so it’s not something that should be on a kids menu.I asked if it could be made without the salad and they brought the same salad back with the cucumbers and most of the lettuce removed and a filthy looking dish due to them pouring it out and putting it back in the bowl. I asked if it can be remade without salad because it looked unappetizing and still had shredded lettuce which my child will not eat. I was fed up and asked for the food to go and they brought me back the SAME meal and I could tell because it had small specs of lettuce on the chicken pieces still.Which at this point I felt insulted. I refused to pay for this meal and this was the first time I left a $0 tip. Waiter did not check on us or ask for refills and I couldn’t even eat my food because my daughters was being manhandled in the back. The manager showed no concern and did not apologize for anything, he took the meal off my receipt but did not say a word. I will not be back as much as I like the food...
