Sweet D's Ice Cream — Restaurant in Town of Warwick

Came here with my dog. I saw another dog inside the establishment while the owner was chit chatting with the girl inside. No issues. I came back after dinner and asked if I can bring my dog inside and the girl said no. Not sure if she was racist against my wife or my dog but def not cool. You can’t say oh we can’t have dogs in here due to the health department but allow other dogs. Def won’t be back. Ice cream was mediocre too.

Reply to owner: Let me be very clear and truthful with statements. When I asked you can I come in with my dog and my Asian wife you said, is it a service dog? To which I replied no, but then I stated what about the other dog that spent 20 minutes inside the store to whose owner you were chit chatting with, you said "Oh yes they probably should not have been inside either". That means you were being bias, hence the call for being a racist. You were wrong because you discriminated by allowing a non service dog to hang out in your shop and not allow me and my Asian wife to come in with our dog. Facts are facts, nothing childish about it. And the fact you did not apologize is another no no...

My husband and I had THE best hot chocolate at Sweet D's. Very much European-style: thick; deep, rich chocolate flavor; definitely not the typical watered-down stuff you get in many places. I will admit the photo I took doesn't do the drink justice. Nice folks. We talked with them for a bit after ordering. They are located on a side street and thanks to a sandwich board ad on the corner, we found the shop. Glad we did. Highly recommend. They also have Jane's ice cream, which we really like. So excited that this year round ice cream spot opened up next door to where I work , I have made it a Sunday night tradition to walk over and grab some delicious ice cream for myself and coworkers , also the apple cider donuts are amazing, I was In love with the ice cream cake they made in summer can’t wait till it’s back !
