We got a bunch of takeout food. We ordered over the phone and the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Everything was delicious. However, the taste was somewhat different than other Middle Eastern food we have gotten, generally the same dishes. The hummus was delicious, but more liquidy Than others I’ve had. I think that the chickpeas were grounded or blended for much longer, and there was quite a bit of tahini in the hummus. Not to take anything away from it. It was great. The tabouli was fantastic. Fresh, with a strong taste of lemon. The Fattoush salad was also great and they were willing to put things on the side to accommodate a vegan. The falafel‘s were also great not overly well done. They had something of a different taste. Perhaps there was some cinnamon or similar spice in there but again different than what I am used to. Similarly, the rice in the dolmas appeared to have the same spice as well. The pita was delicious and they threw an extra more than what came with the dishes or that we paid for. Would love to try some more variety next time. Would definitely return.
I took off one point as there is no complete menu that is easy to find online including their website. this made it difficult as we had to ask over the phone. Do you have this or do you have that. You would think it would be to their benefit to have a full menu online as well as...
Read moreI’ve been to Karam’s in the past but not for several years, but brought 4 friends there for lunch as I remembered how good it was. We were not disappointed. The food was wonderful; fresh, plentiful and delicious. There were several dishes we were not familiar with but they brought us tastes! We thorouhly enjoyed everything and brought lots of food home to our spouses as they sell all of their dishes as well as their breads to be taken out. If you have any reason to be in or near Utica, go to Karam’s! They’re closed on Sundays and Mondays and there was plenty of room for us to sit and eat as Karam’s has expanded their dining area since I was there last. Five stars isn’t enough,...
Read moreGreat service, great food and great people pretty much sums it up! This is one of the places I truly miss since moving away from Utica. They aren't open on Sundays or Mondays which is such a shame because those are often the days I am back visiting Utica and I would love to be able to stop in and get some stuff to bring back home. This place is always very busy but that's only because it's a great business and they know how to treat their costumers. I think I'll have a family member pick up my order next time they come my way to visit. I wish there was a Karam's out where I live, but this is a small family run business located in the heart of...
