Been a Verizon customer for over 15 years and after my experience at this store I'm finally done with this company. The last couple years, my cell service has continued to get worse while my bill goes up. I called customer support to address the issue and they told me it was an outdated SIM card on my iPhone XR and they'd send me a newer one overnight in the mail. The SIM never came over night and Verizon automatically turned on the new SIM before I ever received it in the mail. So I woke up this morning to no cell service or cellular data - nothing. Beyond furious, I decided to go in store and insist on an upgrade to a new phone. After waiting a while, I finally got someone to work with me. Upset about the price of my service as well ($108/month for a single line) the rep informed me that I had been paying for a Disney bundle on top of my service. I never signed up for that. The rep refused to acknowledge that I had been taken advantage of and insisted the best option was to get on a cheaper plan. Fine, yet when he comes out with the new plan, it was $10/month more. The only way to get my bill down was to go on autopay, which would make my new bill only $1/month less. I said fine and moved ahead. Then he tells me there's $150 in taxes, fees and data transfer charges. I told him I did not come in here to give Verizon more money, I came in here to get the service I've paid for, the upgrade I deserved and none of that should result in me paying more - either a one time charge or in my monthly payment. I told him I wanted those charges either comped or credited in my bill. Manager said 'no'. Still, I said fine and was going to go ahead. Then at the end, as I'm going to pay (my debit card literally about to be swiped), the rep tells me that everything came with a 3 year contract. At that point, I'd just had it. Cancelled everything and walked out. Over $150, Verizon would rather get rid of me than keep me for another 15 years. The cell service is awful, the call center service is bad and the in store experience is worse. Verizon literally did everything in their power to get me to...
Read moreThis has to be the shadiest company in the U.S. I left AT&T for this company and was screwed over from day one. June last year you offered a promotion of a $200 credit for new customers and a representative said they were giving away a Tablet or Bose sound link for new customers. Told him I didn't want it that there has to be a catch. Was told no catch and that he would give me an extra $30 line of credit if I take it. So I did with the $85 a month contract I was told about. I was charged $250 the day I signed up. Asked why am I paying this. Was told it was a new customer start up fee. Every month since then I've come nowhere near $85 a month but more like $97 and sometimes over $100. Seriously I've called to get this resolved for months and spoke to numerous representatives and supervisors and no one makes it right. Went back to the store and was called a lier to my face that Moe from Wilton didn't help me and didn't sell me the phone. I wanted to to pay my phone off and called for the remaining balance. It was $250 more than what I expected because of the deposit. Was told I would get it back in May. I called yesterday and today and was told it wasn't a deposit but instead I payed for that FREE Bose system. Are you fn kidding me. Won't make it right by giving me my money back. You want to give me $30 as an apology. You lost a customer and not a care in the world. Verizon is nothing but a scam and I'll be filing with BBB, Ny attorney general and I'll be seeing...
Read moreI went in to swap out a hot spot. I signed in and was told I second. Turns out I was fourth and I would have come back knowing that, but both staff there on 8/30 at noon couldnât be bothered. No hotspots were on display and I asked if I had them, I got a one word answer â yes we have them â are they in the back â correct was the only answer. Read the reviews of this business and please go anywhere else to purchase a Verizon product. The staff at the Wilton mall could care less about Verizon customers. The have the power to make you wait and apparently are not held accountable for their contempt of others. They are rude. They do what they do â head down and you wait. Thatâs not the case elsewhere in the Verizon store network, but thatâs how it works at the Wilton store.
Thanks for the reply â but your Verizon store @ Wilton mall has a long-standing reputation for rudeness and poor customer service. I came there to spend moneyâmost people do and all of your products are expensive. What be dismissive and rude to folks willing to fork over hundreds of dollars? Most Verizon stores go out of their way to make customers happy. Read the reviewsâ all of them going back a year or two. Close the store â start over. Do something. Everyone in the store when I was there was over 65. You think retirees need aggravation from someone whoâs job it is to get you to sign a contract? Weird. You should be...
