Haven't gotten home to try the chicken yet but I can tell you the sides are WAY overpriced for the amount given. For the price you pay for each side, you should be able to feed 2 people. Also we thought we would try it out after seeing the menu online. We got there and went in and the Family Basket (10 piece) was $5 more than on website - both for just chicken and if you were getting the meal. $34.50 for 10 pieces of chicken and 3 sides is ridiculous. Needless to say, we didn't order what we had planned.

Well got home to eat. Fries are tough. How the heck do fries get tough unless they have been sitting around. My collard greens have the worst seasoning. If I was eating there, I would have given them back. Chicken flavor is ok but have had better elsewhere for much cheaper. Overall VERY disappointed and won't return or recommend to others.

Maybe the actual restaurant on Phil's Street...

This place was a bit of a disappointment. We were in town for a long weekend and stopped here for lunch and had the Big Daddy chicken sandwich. The chicken was fried fresh but the seasoning was very lacking. To be honest, popeyes has a better chicken sandwich.

We also ordered cajun fries. They were seasoned nicely but were served pretty cold, probably been sitting around a while.

This location is one of their chicken shacks so most people were ordering take out. However for dine-in I would recommend they turn on the lights a bit more as it is quite dark and dreary inside with limited lighting. Does not look very inviting when you walk in through the door.

I would go here if there are no other fried chicken options in the area but as a tourist would not recommend it if you are coming for a visit. There is much better food in the area for similar...

Sweet potato fries were really good as always, but the chicken itself had a strange taste. The breading and skin was as awesome as it always is, but the chicken itself was not. I had to spit it out. Also, their soda is horribly over chlorinated and it ruins the taste of the soda. I dumped out at least 3 different beverages, no flavor could mask the taste of a swimming pool. These fast food establishments MUST invest in water filtration!!! (I don't know if when I was a kid they put in less chlorine or if we just got used to it, because I don't remember this. I know then everyone drank tap water and now everybody drinks bottled water, so you're going to notice the chlorine a lot more).
