Get ready to hear this. I’ve worked in the Woodbury Commons for 6 years and always ordered from Amalfi’s when getting pizza for my team. I just recently changed jobs and when I ordered from them today, they delivered to my last job. I got a call from my old job thanking me for the three pizza pies that they received and ate (: I called back Amalfi’s and told them that they delivered the pizzas to the wrong address. They must have the address to my old job saved on file but I specifically told them which store to deliver the pizzas to, along with a description of which stores reside next to mine, and a full address. They offered to send the driver to my old job to retrieve the pizzas and deliver to us. I can’t believe that I had to explain to these morons that this is considered a health violation due to cross contamination. Maybe its worth giving the health department a call if this is their protocol for delivery errors. When you pay $85 for pizza with the tip included, you expect hot food delivered with urgency. I paid in advance with my card. They didn’t apologize for the inconvenience and they even tried to charge my team upon delivery for a meal that they were supposed to get 2 hours prior. Read moreEdit/update: after trying the food again it was a complete difference and service was excellent and the response to the original review was perfect and honest happy to say it’s actually a good spot go check it out! Happy to have you part of the community my first few experiences were bad but one great experience makes a huge difference! I hope the pizza stays as good as it was tonight! I’ll be back next week lol
I’ve been a customer my whole life growing up eating here and it was great but after the new ownership quality has went down severely everything I have tried taste very bland and honestly is not good I’ve tried 3 different things since the new owners and I have not liked any of it! I had 3 others who are regulars ( my roommate, cousin, and close friend ) who are also very disappointed by the changes and used to be regulars! My close friend said he actually got sick and was puking, my cousin said it was some of the worst pizza he has had, and my roommate claimed it was very disappointing due to no flavor. Hopefully if the new owners see this the locals and regulars aren’t happy and we want the pizza we all grew up...
Read moreI was having a wonderful Mother's Day with my wife and kids until I decided to give this pizzeria a chance. I'm a strong believer in customer service, and based on my experience tonight, they definitely lack it.
First, I asked for cups with ice, but they were never provided. When the pizza was finally served, one of the servers placed it on the table without saying a word. I asked the owner if they had plates, and he brought me six pizza pans with a bit of an attitude, in my opinion.
It felt like we were being rushed out of the restaurant. When I asked for to-go boxes, the same rude server tossed them on our table without saying anything and walked away. I will admit that I didn’t leave a tip initially because of the attitudes of the owner and his daughter. However, after some thought, I realized that it wasn’t my server's fault she had a boss who doesn’t seem passionate about his work.
When I asked the owner if they could reprint the receipt so I could give the server her tip, he responded with an attitude again. Because of this experience, I will not be returning to this pizzeria...
