I lived in California for a Summer. It was one of the best Summers of my life. I ate Mexican and Tex-Mex almost daily when I lived there; enjoying some of the best tacos and Birria I've ever had. I currently live in New York, specifically near Huntington Station, where you can find some of the best Mexican and Yucatanian cuisine on the Island. I've been to Texas, many times, and have had some of the best Tex-Mex in the country. Hell, I've even been to Mexico and eaten some real, hard-core, street tacos.

...but this... this was monumentally epic. Jorge's is better than good, they are serving someof the BEST Birria Tacos I've ever had.

These were OUTSTANDING.

The decor screams Oaxaca - from the tables to the banners to the brightly painted walls and twinkling Christmas lights. It's so deliciously hoaky. But then you look over then menu, and you taste the food... and then you just exclaim, 'Yes! That's it! I can die happy now!'

Jorge's makes their food with passion, with soul and as if they are making a Sunday dinner for visiting family.

I WILL be back. Eat here as soon as you can before they really get discovered, and then it's standing room only or you can only get a table if you make a reservation several weeks in advance. This is well...

Find this gem on Google map..so my husband and I gave it a try.. and we weren't disappointed...my sandwich was spot on.. from the thinly sliced turkey, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, bacon and chipotle. ..delish!! And their cajun fries where nice and crispy..my husband totally enjoyed his pernil..rice and beans. He said the pernil was the best he had. The waitresses was very sweet, she took our order..even the cook came out to see if we were enjoy the food.. they also have a hot table with food. I hope you give this place a try.. You'll like it!!!

Another homerun!! My husband went to Jorge's Kitchen and Bar...and again was not disappointed! But this time he went to pick up the food...he ordered the same thing from last time...lol...like I said "it's the best pernil and rice and beans he ever had!" As for me I got their delicious chicken tacos! I enjoyed it tremendously!!! There was enough chicken to make another taco! Their Pico de Gallo was nice and spicy! Their tomatillo sauce with delicious, rice and beans were good! I don't know what your waiting for! Go and make your belly happy! You won't be sorry..plus the have...

We are local and Jorge’s is only a mile or two away, but we always go to another restaurant nearby for authentic Mexican food. We kept hearing about Jorge’s and seeing photos of their delicious looking food on a local facebook group so my son and I finally tried it. To say we were blown away is an understatement! We tried the pernil (roasted pork) with rice and beans, the Birria tacos, and the tacos al Pastor. Everything was fresh and SO GOOD. Even the rice (often just a bland filler) had incredible flavor! The prices are reasonable and the portions were very generous, so we had plenty to take home and are already excited to eat the leftovers. The service was friendly and the restaurant seemed very clean - it was also nice to be able to order a beer since they have a liquor license and other similar restaurants in the area do not. Overall we are thrilled with the experience and are already planning to return and try their breakfast menu....
