Reply to manager's reaction: The point is the order was made way before the eight additional minutes you are citing, which is a terrible way to passive aggressively not take blame. You cited Eight minutes on the video - I believe you are cutting that number significantly. In fact, as we read other posts a Go-to kneejerk reaction of yours seems to be to under cut the simple math to somehow discredit those who are sharing their experience with you. Even if I concede to the number of minutes your claiming as Eight minutes - that would be eight minutes from the last time we brought it up. Which was not the first time and we were told that it would be "Five seconds" from that last inquiry. So, before you watch your video and ask for damning information from your staff motivated to tell lies to cover up the culture of unaccountable employees and managers, get all your facts and brush up on your simple math. People reading - Please note: I complained and in response was blamed. That's the culture. Yup. I was mouthy that day. But we all have our limits and being lied to multiple times when I've asked nicely multiple times is certainly my limit. Everywhere is better. Enjoy your alternative choices.
At this location it's just sad. Management is simply over their heads. You will be forced to wait extreme lengths of time for ANYTHING. It's not that they aren't busy. They are. But the wait we have to endure is because they are sloppy and unorganized. No process. No self-awareness and no kindness or desire to do better. If you let them know you've been there a long time... even if it's the 2nd time you are telling them this during the same visit, the passive aggressive manager, just not equipped with the skills or ability to run a store also proved unable to be accountable for his many shortcomings will interrupt with "are you finished, are you finished" while you offer your complaint and then say "Can't you see we're busy!" - well... dude... movement and action are very different things. You're not working. You're walking. We ordered two bagel sandwiches, bacon and home fries. Later, after waiting quite a while we asked "...can you please let us know what is going on with our order..." they asked us to pay, preparing a bag (making it look like our order was ready) and said "we're just waiting on the bacon and home fries... just five seconds!" ... it was 10 minutes before I thought to mention it again and above is how the no-customer-service-skills manager reacted.
Also, DON"T SIGN UP FOR REWARDS you will NEVER be able to use them. It's such a rigmarole and you are blamed as a customer for "Not doing it right" if you ask why your discount wasn't applied. Simply put; this is too big for these people. They are just not up to the task. Don't go here. You're better than that. You deserve better. This place is just low...
Read moreThis place is pretty mediocre a majority of the time. Needs better staff. Some of their menu items are kinda overpriced and the long wait times are ridiculous. They are so slow. You literally wait 10 years for something as simple as a bagel toasted with cream cheese. I’ve been here a few times and the wait time is usually at least 20 minutes for average food. Like I get it’s busy, but it’s a bagel shop. People shouldn’t be waiting years for their food.
A few of their staff members are okay but some just have to go. The tallish Spanish guy with the mustache honestly doesn’t seem to care most of the time. A previous time that I came here, he tried giving me a bagel that I did not order. After I checked it and called him out on it, he says I don’t think we have any more of the bagel you wanted. So then why not just say that in the first place ? Instead of just giving me something else?
Toasted bagels are usually cold by the time you get them because they literally just sit in the tray of the toaster oven, while the workers do other things. I went there today and we waited almost 30 mins for a sandwich and a toasted bagel with butter. I even noticed that people before us were also waiting forever for their food. When we finally got our food, I saw that my bagel was barely even toasted and it was cold. So I asked for it to be redone since I waited 20+ minutes for it. The staff members were all confused and couldn’t comprehend such a simple request. They opened my bagel and were trying to show me that it was toasted. When it literally was half toasted. And it was completely cold when I touched it. The butter wasn’t even melted on it.
UPDATE owner responded that we were only waiting “10 minutes” for our food since we supposedly submitted our order at 12:29pm and it was ready at 12:41pm. Which if we’re being technical, that’s 12 minutes. Not 10. I don’t think I’d be posting a review if I had to only wait 10 minutes for our food. It was definitely longer than that. Regardless, paying customers shouldn’t receive pushback for asking staff to redo something simple that they didn’t do right in the first place. That’s...
Read moreSolid Eatery, Bagels are good, limited Deli meat selection but they cover the bases with quality Brand, Breaded chicken cutlets are actually crispy and they wisely halve the breast giving you a better crisp to chicken ratio. Smash burgers are great, Breakfast Fare: egg sandwiches, omelette platters had no complaints. Overall the folks that work the counter are nice but don't look to chat about the weather their usually very busy with orders, the menu is limited as opposed to say a diner but in my opinion the breakfast goods/Lunch fare here tasted way better than any diner in the area. The pricing menu has a cash and credit split but instead of seeing this as a rip off or something shady keep in mind that most places just post the credit covered price for everything and don't give a lower choice for cash, but note it anyway, I didn't think they were hiding it, but if you feel like a great detective in noting...
