Little Sorrento — Restaurant in Town of Yorktown

Having to host a party of 33, I was looking for a Restaurant in Westchester and walked into Little Sorrento. I met Lisa who took my info and scheduled the date. When I called back to provide a list of food items we would like to have, Gina was instrumental in putting a variety of dishes set to delight.

Gina set up the entire evening to help me keep the cost under control since I was hosting my Employees and their Families for a Mid Year Retreat and had to pay for many other parks, parties, and meal for the weekend.

All the dishes were specially prepared to meet our needs. When our party expanded due to a miscount of the number of expected guests on my part, Lisa added tables to the already oversized tables and made us feel comfortable.

When we arrived on the scheduled date, our table was so large we did not remember to take photos of the large table but Emily our kind waiter took photos on her own without us asking and she promised to email them to us.

Thank You Lisa for making me look like a great event planner. Thanks for accommodating the surprise birthday cake for one of my Employees as well and going through all the trouble to surprise her and serve everyone at no charge.

Y'all are really the best. 5 stars is simply not enough for the quality of service...

Went there for dinner tonight for cavatelli and broccoli rabe with crumbled sausage. I also ordered soup angelito, which was good The plate of broccoli rabe and sausage came out, the sausage was undercooked and nothing but blobs of fat. I told the waitress and she took the plate back. I didn’t see her for five minutes. I went up to her when I saw her and asked if she was making another plate she replied yes I told her I didn’t want another one she said they would make it with a different kind of sausage I told her no to please give me the check. I was waiting about 10 minutes she finally comes over and asked me if I want dessert I told her no. she comes back and gives me the check takes off the price for the dinner plate and charges me eight dollars for the salad. I asked her why would you charge me for the salad she said well didn’t you eat it I replied I did not eat it she said well aren’t you taking it home I said to her that the salad comes with the meal and it is included in the price and no I’m not taking it home! I asked her to please take the salad off the bill she rolled her eyes and adjusted the bill. so I paid for my soup my mothers coffee and my club soda. She was not happy the service was awful the sausage was disgusting I will never go back...

I am not sure where to begin with Gina and her staff. We planned our wedding only 2 months in advance after many Covid cancellations. Gina was so accommodating and invited us to the restaurant for a tasting. She suggested meals that would go good together but were also good for a summer wedding. Her attention to detail was absolutely phenomenal. The way she set up the tables, the bar, cocktail hour and our dessert table were beautiful. She checked on us throughout the night and kept reminding us to eat! Her staff were beyond amazing. The way they took care of our guests but stayed out of everyone’s way was so professional. Her staff paid so much attention to my husband and I and made sure we had drinks throughout then night. Coming from a big Italian family, it was great working with a catering company that was a family business. It was sweet to have her children also be apart of the team. Everyone in her staff was personable and professionally fun. Besides her phenomenal staff, the food was absolutely delicious. Days after the wedding our guests are still texting me about the shrimp tacos!! From cocktail hour to dinner, the food was absolutely delicious. We love Gina...
