York Pizza — Restaurant in Town of Yorktown

Honestly you need hire a new counter person with better customer service. I usually like coming here, but when I recently made an order over the phone for a buffalo chicken wrap I had asked her if she could make sure no tomatoes are put on. I explained to her how I am allergic to them. I also explained the last time I ordered I had requested no tomatoes and they were still put at the end of the wrap where I couldn't see them. Luckily my boyfriend took a bite and noticed immediately. He checked the receipt and it said "No Tomatoes" with order. We didn't call to complain or anything just figured it was an honest mistake, since it was caught in time. After explaining this to her the response was "Well I can't stand back there and watch them make it"..... I in returned said " Oh no I understand if you can just talk to whoever makes it, I'd appreciate it" the response "ok I guess". Now considering she's an adult working in the food industry I could only assume she understands that if you have an allergy it can be anywhere from mild to severe, her lack of caring or concern definitely showed. I was honestly shocked. I normally don't rate places negatively but if you don't care that your mistake could send someone to the hospital it's probably time to find a different job. I do like coming here and the food is good but you should upgrade staff that cares about your business. The best way for me to accurately describe this place is to say that it's somewhere between Domino's and your favorite Italian pizzeria. The crust is between thick and thin and the sauce is pretty tasty. When I inquired about the buffalo wings were made, the chef was kind enough to show me how they were prepared: He brought out a bowl or raw wings, told me they would be deep-fried and coated with their house hot sauce (which he also showed me), I found this "above & beyond the call of duty" effort to be very extraordinary.
