I normally go to the urgent care in Mohegan Lake. Because there was no open availability, this urgent care was the next one closest to my house. Upon entry, the facility has clear and concise signs on how to schedule an appointment. It was extremely easy and effortless. The staff all seemed friendly and focused on their work. There was one thing that ruined my first time experience with the facility. The reason for my visit was covid testing. At the end of my visit I asked the doctor how can I get paperwork on my results for my job. The doctor ignored my question and rudely responded back you’ll need to quarantine for 10 days. That was information I didn’t ask for because the nurse and the same doctor already told me that information previously. I told the doctor I’m aware I have to quarantine but how will I get documentation for my job. She again ignored my question and said you’ll get the results in 10 days Via call. Which again, wasn’t the the answer to my question and also wasn’t true because I had gotten my rapid test. At that point I left frustrated because the doctor clearly didn’t want to help me with my question. When I got home I received a call about my test results. I then asked the nurse over the phone how can I receive a copy for my results and her response was I would have to go in the facility because they cannot send email confirmations. I was extremely frustrated because if the doctor would have told me initially I would have waited at the facility instead of driving 20 minutes there and back twice. In total equaling an 80 minute drive there and back, when I’m not feeling well what so ever. I would urge the doctor there to be a better listener for future patients. I don’t think I’ll be returning based on how the doctor treated me and refused to help me. Because that could’ve easily been avoided all together if she had just listened. Other wise the...
Read morethis people are a rip off. i went there for a D.O.T.phisical for my job. they charged me over $100.00 everything was well until my blood pressure was a little high so i told the nurse that I get a little nervous that she would have to take it a few times the answer was no. i came back another time and the same thing happened another Dr. told the so called nurse what to do and had me laid down and wait 5 minutes and she came back in andy blood pressure was down she said great everything is well. .they never registered my low blood pressure just my high blood pressure in which it was 129 over 82..which is normal. the Dr told me to come back the next day first thing because she wasn't certified DOT physician and that she couldn't give me my certificate to work. i returned the next day and the Dr again took my B.P.and it was a little high again so i asked him about my reading the night before in which he replied that he had no reading from the night before. he them took it again and it had gone down so he told me hw wqs going to give me a 3 months certificate. date was nov 18th. .I came back on nov 17th at 6pm and was told i had to paid for another DOT phisical. another $100.00. A bunch of rip off. instead of helping ou the they just want to take your money. .Another thing lost misplaced my license somewhere so i went to the DMV for a duplicate one and was told that my license was down graded because i had no certificate. in which i show them i had gotten my temporary certificate on August 18th. the never send the certificate to Albany so i was driving and working with out a DOT certificate. 6 weeks later i called the office and was told that they had forgotten to send it to DMV. thank god i was never stopped for any reason. .please don't go there they are a RIP OFF they don't deserve to be in business. . Am going to report them to the better...
Read moreI have gone to this urgent care before and had pleasant experiences. However, since the spike of the recent Covid variant I have to say I was extremely disappointed with the care I received. I was experiencing severe congestion, had a slight fever, all symptoms that could have been Covid. However, I hoped to be seen as a walk-in and was automatically sent home because it was appointment only. I went home, tried for hours to make an appointment and finally the first available appointment was 4 days later. Hoping for answers on my appointment day, I was greeted by a PA that was rude, abrupt and arrogant. She could care less about the symptoms I had and only cared if I was “swabbed” for a Covid test. I am fully vaccinated and acknowledge that given we are in a spike of positive Covid results does not mean that we automatically can be thrown in the pile of “you have Covid”. This PA made me feel nothing less than another number and refused to acknowledge how I felt. Her answer to me was, “The best you could do is find the best combination of decongestants and ride it out”! Luckily, my fiancé has a wonderful ENT who was able to see me 2 days later and confirmed I had a MAJOR sinus infection. I’ve been on antibiotics and steroid for 10 days. If I didn’t get that second opinion I could have been in SERIOUS danger. I have family members, friends in the medical field and I have MAJOR respect for their hard work but the “professional PA” I was given at this facility should seriously re-evaluate her career in this profession. She is not someone who should be in this field. Please listen to your body and find another source if need be. Huge disappointment and unfortunately will not be returning because of their choice in their so called “professionals”. Btw my Covid test was negative so thank you for making me wait a week to get the appropriate...
