I do not know why but, for some reason when I had came to this nail salon this past Wednesday, June 4th, with one of my friends, considering the 4 of us, (1 being the bride and the other 3, including myself being bridesmaids) went to this particular salon for us all to get manicures and pedicures, (in the French style); I just don't know but, something didn't sit right with me after I had to pay for my manicure and pedicure...Like, almost as if I had been cheated in having to pay more than what was required of the service alone. I had made sure in discussing this situation with my mother where both her and I had made the decision in visiting this nail salon again to confirm for why the owner of this premise was coming up with $82 as the overall price for me to pay but, then when provided the receipt shows $47...I personally had the intention to pay only the price for the service and add a $5 tip; it really still confuses me why the overall end price came up to $82, rather than being less than that...I would assume it is because I had requested to the nail stylist to receive a regular French manicure and pedicure but, instead she had given me the gel kind, (which I believe is why it came out to that amount).
If I had to provide an honest rating for this review, I would give this nail salon 3 stars instead of 2...The reason I am providing the 3 stars, is because both paint jobs of my toe nails and finger nails were of good quality from the nail stylist but, not from having to pay such an expensive amount near the end from the owner. I will never be coming back to this salon, considering the owner had confused me at the time, I will just take my business to Alice Nails, that is a nail salon near me where I usually go to get a manicure and other...
Read moreI hate writing bad reviews, and I’ve never written a bad review of a place I once liked before now. I have taken a few people to new choice nails and it’s always been a good experience, but the last time I took my mom the staff was rude, unprofessional, and very messy. My mom asked to cut/file her nails shorter and the nail tech, Amy, was making insulting faces and noises. After she requested a new tech, Amy did my nails because there was nobody else. I asked her if she was going to be mad and she said “no”. At some point, she turned to me and said, “your mom is complicated”. Very unprofessional. When my nails were drying I noticed that there was a lot of polish on the skin around my nails. I asked the manager if I could get that cleaned. Without apologizing she quickly swiped the sides and walked away. I was left there to pick off the polish from the sides of the nail myself. A few days later I even noticed that there was polish on the skin of my toes. Extremely unprofessional and messy and rude. Not the combo you want from a nail place, to where most people go to relax and feel pretty...
Read moreCannot say enough good things about this place. It's an obviously clean establishment - liners, sterilization, one use items and old fashioned cleaning. It's affordable and they do a great job but it's the people and customer service that's truly impeccable. After going for a few months my (quite young) mother suffered a major knee injury leaving her leg inmobilised for a prolonged time. This was the first non essential outing. Three of us went unsure it was possible but it was immediately obvious we had nothing to worry about, they worked with the brace - getting on the floor to do so without hesitation and brought a portable dryer for her hands so she didn't have to move. It's now a regular event through her recovery and will continue after. They truly go above and beyond without any indication of inconvenience. When I've dripped her off they always met her before she reached the door and once waited with her outside when I was late. There's polite, friendly and good business practice but it's obvious they're also genuinely good people....
