Had 25 people for my daughters 7th birthday party from 4 to 6. I had to ask them to turn on the lanes 4 times, finally at 4:10 they did. Party came with drinks, snacks, pizza and or chicken and icecream. Had to ask for the drinks twice. Never got snacks (I was so occupied with the kids I forgot to ask). They were clearly in over their heads so at 4:50 I told them instead of taking orders from the kids, which they said they usually do, just give them all pizza.5:10 asked when they serve the food, they said soon. 5:20 asked how long for food as the kids were getting hungry they said 5 minutes. 5:30, still no food. 5:40 the first 8 kids were given pizza, 5 minutes later another 10 kids and finally at 5:50 the past of the children were served. Rushed kids to do cake, never even bothered asking for the icecream. They brought me a full price bill and I said it needed to be adjusted to which the girl who was all of 15 gave me an attitude and told to go up and talk to the manager, who made a call and said she would give me 10% off. The 15 year old comes back at 6:10 to tell me I needed to hurry up because it was past 6 and they were busy. Did I mention one of the times I asked for pizza they said sorry they were really busy from a lot of people using their Groupons!!! There is no keeping score unless you want to do it by hand, not a big deal the kids just played for fun. Charged $20 to order an extra pizza for adults that didn't come out until 6, $3.25 for me to get a large soda since I didn't want to use a kiddie cup that comes with unlimited refills. Parking is a pain. The only thing good was the pizza and one of the girls with long hair was very nice. But otherwise it was a disaster. Spend the extra $6/per kid and go to AMF or have your party somewhere else. Birthdays are stressful enough without all the...
Read moreGreat little place for cheap quick fun. Circa 1946 pure duckpin lane bowling alley tucked into the corner of a shopping center from the same period (which style wise still looks good while other newer shopping strips look terrible!). The front door and entrance is so unassumingly nestled in a corner it makes it feel incredibly speakeasy-esque, with loads of secret potential. The interior is a mishmosh of fantastic design relics (like most bowling alleys) from the 50s/60s, 80s and 90s. Owners are very kind and friendly and served our ragtag group well as we dysfunctionally waited to surprise a friend for her birthday.
Admittedly the place does need some TLC, would be be great to see most of the vintage equipment work entirely (like the projectors for scores which didn't work) and for the place to look as nice as it did when the pieces were first installed. It definitely deserves it, especially as a purely duckpin bowling alley! We have to support our heritage!...
Read moreWe came here to celebrate my brothers birthday. I had looked online to find a special they had that included food, a pitcher of soda, bowling & shoe rentals. When we arrived they told us they couldn’t sell us the special because we didn’t call ahead or make a reservation & that they didn’t even turn on the pizza maker(mind you the place only had about 3 lanes being used)…I guess you cannot order any food from this place unless you call in advance…which I think is a horrible way to run a business. They didn’t even offer to just turn it on for us lol. So they lost a whole group of 5 peoples business that day. We will not be returning. The place smelled funny & is hard to find from the outside. Parking is very limited. I definitely recommend going...
