I don't know where these reviewers ate before they made their reviews, but it surely wasn't this restaurant. My family and I drove 20+ minutes away from really great restaurants to give this place a try because we saw all of the great reviews and were craving chinese food. We aren't usually the types that visit buffet restaurants, but we have visited a few in the past and have had mixed reviews. All chinese buffets are the same in my opinion...The food sits out on the bar while several trays remain empty and when food is refilled, warm food is mixed with cold food. This place is no different. We visited at lunch time when they had several customers in the restaurant. The buffet is small and several trays remained empty for the majority of our visit. When the few foods that were replenished came out, they were mixed with the cold/older food while other trays continued to remain empty. I honestly don't understand why...There were several people there that all paid about $9/person in order to eat off of the buffet just for there to only be a handfull of options available. Then there were trays that had maybe a scoop of food left in them and they were never replenished the entire time we were there and I know the people replacing what little food there was saw this because my wife was looking for something that she liked up there when they brought out more rice. The quality and taste of the food were definitely lacking here as well. I don't get it. The only reason I gave this place a 2 star rating was because the guys at the front actually spoke once when we walked in but other than that, we were never spoken to again and also because my daughter said that she liked the egg rolls (which I have no idea why because they...
Read moreI've been a patron of Chang An's for probably close to 4 years now, and I'll never speak ill of this great establishment.
Their menu is consistent, so you'll never have to worry about finding a favorite dish and they suddenly not serve it again. That also goes for their buffet, which while may be small compared to other buffets in the area isn't a bad thing at all. Chang An prefers quality over quantity.
The owners are friendly, and will remember you if you're a regular. I always get a friendly hello when I walk through the door, and they'll even ask me how I've been lately. I remember going in there on Black Friday, and having a chat with one of the owners about whether or not we'd get Amazon Echos!
I absolutely adore this restaurant. It's quiet, they keep the buffet turned over well, and I always make sure to get my money's worth while I'm there. Less than $8.50 during lunch, and never more than $10 for dinner. And these are all-you-can-eat-and-drink...
Read moreI was assaulted by an employee at this location and had to spend over an hour filing a police report for assault and getting my dashcam and phone recordings to uber eats and the police. This store doesnt realize that verify/confirm order is a different process thdn starting the delivery. I went back to speak with owner before i decided to press charges for assault (cause i giess im too nice) but wouldnt even speak to me. I called which doesnt even go to the store and tried to have owner/manager return my call to give a chance to settle this as adults without involving legal process. Would not even speak on phone or return call.. If you go here make sure you have the means to protect yourself. As a disabled man it is scary that they dont seem to have any reservations about laying hands on customers. NO ONE has the right to put hands on you....
