I want to take the time to share my non - stop positive experiences with the crew at the front street Starbucks. I have been dropping by the drive thru for about 4 years now and they are my favorite coffee stop but it's not the coffee itself, per say. Don't get me wrong I love the coffee but it's hands down because of the staff. They are always friendly, caring and go above and beyond for their customers.
Often when they recognize its me ordering, they not only re-greet me warmly, we have nice quick little conversations or they will take the time leave me sweet messages on my cups or do something like leave me a suprise sticker on my cup because they know I'm that kind of person who appreciates that kind of thing. I have been a barista before and I also have 7 years of retail management and I know that staff members like these are hard to come by and yet this Starbucks consistently has an entire staff of really awesome human beings at the helm. It's refreshing and appreciated in the world today :) The folks who work at this location are not just making coffee for our community, they are actively making us each truly feel like we are part of the community in the many ways they try to connect with their customers...
Read moreFirst, I love having a free standing Starbucks with drive thru in TC! I wish they would add another maybe south of town too. I've been here multiple times, and only on a few occasions has the drive thru been super backed up and slow. Most of the time, they get us through pretty quickly, even if there's a line. I've only had one messed up order, ordering the Turkey & Basil and found a Tomato and Mozz sandwich when I got home instead. Everyone has been friendly. I did do a mobile order and ran inside to grab it. There was a mobile order table up front, but instead my order was sitting (unknown to me) at the end of the counter where everyone else in line waits to pick up their order placed inside. So if you mobile order, heads up, you might have to look for it. Starbucks, please don't make mobile order people walk through the sea of masked people standing inside to get our order. If you have a mobile order table, please don't confuse people and place it somewhere else while they wait and wait thinking it's not out yet. I'll continue to just go through the drive thru...
Read moreI mainly go thru the drive thru both my spouse and I. Have went a couple times at night and they don’t seem to want to repair the lights on their menu signs which limits as to what you may want to purchase as you cannot see the menu. Have mentioned it several times and I’m told they did not know. I guess if you can’t see the sign you can’t place an order and employees don’t have to prepare it, right? Hmmm 🤔 There’s boxes lined up in the dining room area all the time and employees sitting around sipping coffee on their phones watching social media. I started bringing my flashlight so when I go by Starbucks I can read the menu at night. It’s ridiculous. If you want a better Starbucks experience in Traverse City you can go to the one by the mall as their signs are lit and they seem to keep their menu items in stock. No boxes all over the dining area and employees are engaging and willing to happily prepare your order. Quite frankly I don’t know how the one on front street in Traverse City stays open as employees there seem to be very unhappy...
