I go here all the time. Foods good staffs normally good. Today, I went there and there was no one in there but when I left I was in a rush to get back to my family. I accidentally left my wallet there which is my own fault. When I got it back 70 dollars was missing.
What was odd is they said a customer found it, when I was on the phone with them, at a table but I never sat down because I got a to go order. As I said before it was just me and 4 employees and the place was empty. They also didnt decide to call me, as they had my number from the to go order. They said a customer found it when I said money was missing but didn't offer to go through cameras or talk to authorities. Sounds petty and judgey since I was completely lucky to get it back but it seems odd that just 70 would be missing out of all the cash was in there if a customer took it.
Sadly I won't be going back, part of it is my fault but I can't get the bad taste out of my mouth. I've been in the industry for 10 years and when ever a customer loses a wallet or any item we do what ever we can to help them, especially if something gets stolen. So when they were last than enthusiastic it made...
Read moreJust went to 5 Guys in the Gateway shopping center for some take out burgers and fries. I have visited before and it was always a good experience. However, after what they feed me this time, I will not be going back. I got home and my family realized the fries tasted strange. After eating a few it was clear something was very wrong. I drove back to the store to find out what they fed me and my family. The manager on duty taste tested the substance in the salt shaker that they were putting on all the fries to find it was not salt. She concluded that they had put sugar in the salt shaker. She assured me they did not have any rodent poison (which I hear can taste sweet like sugar) or any harmful chemicals or substances in the restaurant. The manager was very nice and offered to make me new fries...I requested a refund instead which she gave me very kindly. They handled the complaint well; but, the quality control is very lacking for them to make such a critical mistake. My fingers are crossed that it was only sugar in the salt shaker. They need to get their...
Read moreI've gotta say Five Guys has some of the best hamburgers on the east coast. I still prefer burgers from a Midwestern restaurant called Culver's better, but perhaps that's because I was born and raised in Wisconsin. Five Guys keeps the menu simple, but loads up on toppings for your burger. My husband and I really like the grilled cheese sandwiches, in fact we order one every time we go. He also loves the shakes and we make sure we go to locations that have them. The peanut butter shake is definitely Peanut Butter, no question about it. You won't find any salads here. Instead they have awesome fries. With regular salted and Cajun being the flavors offered. My only complaint about Five Guys has to be how much they salt those delicious spuds. For someone like me who tends to keep away from too much salt in the diet they can be a little 'salty.' Just remember to ask for no salt and you'll have some the best fries this side of the...
