I’ll start by saying I Love Panera… I’ve been to this particular location twice in the past several months, and they’ve gotten my order wrong both times. The food was still great, hence the four stars, but come on…. Last time, they forgot to include the pumpkin muffin that I paid for. Not in the bag… this time, I ordered the BLT Roasted Turkey Avocado sandwich. No avocado. Wayne PA location, you need to have your employees pay better attention to the orders they’re putting together. ESPECIALLY now that curbside pickup is a thing. I was home both times before I realized there was a problem. I shouldn’t have to open and carefully inspect my order before driving away.
As frustrating as this is, I’ll repeat - I do love Panera. Both meals were excellent, errors aside. All ingredients were very fresh. Never any wilting greens or soggy tomatoes. And of course, it goes without saying that the bread is the star of the show. So thank you for that!
UPDATE: I just read through some of the other reviews, and I am far from alone with this complaint. It seems that they just don’t care. With all of the feedback offered online, the issue has not been corrected. I will not be back to...

My husband bought 10 gift cards from Panera at Gateway, and it turned out that 7 out of 10 were stained with food/coffee marks. I tried to clean some, but some areas around the magnetic strip can't be cleaned. I called the local Panera and explained the situation. The local manager told me that she could do nothing, and that gift cards can't be exchanged. Even though that is the policy, she didn't even apologize for selling dirty gift cards. Initially she didn't try to find a creative way to solve the problem but just stated the policy. In no moment did she use empathy to deal with the situation. When I raised my voice, she threatened me saying she wouldn't talk to me due to my screaming. When she raised her voice over me, she didn't call it screaming. In the end, she never apologized about the stained gift cards. She asked for my number, but she has not called me back. My husband went back to the Panera to see what could be done. Read moreI just left the restaurant at 9:20pm on July 13th. First off, the food was absolutely terrible. I understand they are missing some ingredients but the food we received should not be served at full prices. It looked like something a five year old made. Second, we ordered food at 8:50pm to sit down and eat. The restaurant closes at 9:00pm. No one told me upon ordering that the place was closing. Then the manager comes over at 9:18pm saying “by the way, we’re closed so you gotta go” in the rudest tone possible. Like, cmon? Can’t she just say, “I’m sorry but we’re closed now. I hope you can…” I wouldn’t have paid $45 for the food if we couldn’t sit and eat it.
I’m more than happy to leave when asked, but the terrible food and rude manager were really just a killer combo.
Really, they gotta dump that manager. I’m done with all Paneras. I can go eat at Red Robin for the prices they charge and skip getting evicted from my table.
