I come here all the time and always receive the best service. Until today! I ordered a lavender matcha latte I brought my own oat milk of choice the drink was made way too sweet all I asked for was extra matcha on top of the current drink the girl named EMON turns around and pours my entire drink down the drain. What the heck is her problem. I literally spoke clear English and asked for extra shot of matcha why the heck would you pour my drink out and say you thought I wanted a new one … those words never came out my mouth. I am so upset my drink was filled to the top I only took two sips not only did you waste my good milk you don’t listen and that’s very poor service. Sorry is not good enough. I came here to get work done and I desire my drink and she just messed up my entire evening and my focus .. WHY WOULD YOU POUR MY DRINK DOWN THE DRAIN. If you were unsure of what I said - ask for crying out loud!!!!! before doing anything. What kind of service is that.. I am pissed! I asked for my manager no manager on duties how ironic is that … sure allow them to run your business you will not have a business with this type of service. Everyone else is so nice this is ridiculous!!! Down the freaking drain. No questions asked.. She THOUGHT! I said something I never said. I am...
Read moreI was excited to see this shop open up here. I have been to some of their other locations in Chicago. When I entered though my excitement ended. Compared to the other locations I have been to, this location had a much more limited variety of pastries, (less than half). Where this store had put in seating and calls it a cafe, the other stores have little to no seating but a huge assortment of pastries. I would regularly load up in Chicago to bring a couple of boxes back worth to PA. My wife and I did have a couple of things for lunch here, and it was good, but the selection again was limited. It's only a 10 min ride for me, so not far too go to get a box to take home for a treat. But with the small selection, it now isn't work the travel. If you haven't been to their other locations, you might not realize just how much of a letdown it was going in there.
Service was just ok. My suggestion would be to lose the "cafe" and concentrate on what makes/made this a great chain...
Read moreThe pastries and the atmosphere are similar to other Tous Les Jours, an enjoyable experience. Sadly, we do not know if the issues we have at Wayne are franchise-ownership or management related. We can drive 5-8 minutes for this one or 23-25 minutes to the Haverford location and we almost always have to go to Haverford anyway. The difference truly is the time they open (Wayne 9am to Haverford’s 7:30am) as well as the time they actually have their pastries out…Wayne is notoriously delayed in being ready for business. Small tweaks would materially improve their experience and (I assume) revenue. We also see a huge divide in their customer service and general demeanor. I’m always left feeling frustrated as a customer and feeling bad for the hourly staff at the Wayne location. I truly believe most here want to be better, but we’ve seen first-hand the management behavior here and feel it’s a top-down issue. The team deserves a better chance from management/owner at this location to make...
