I wish I had photos to post about this particular location but I was pressed for time. I found this location via Yelp initially. I was coming from west Chattanooga, TN (Jasper to be exact) and while searching for a nice meal it was 6:00 PM. According to the app, they closed at 8 so I figured I had plenty of time to enjoy a good local barbecue. After all, I’m from Texas so I figured, “you can’t go wrong!”. During my travels, I realized that I’ve crossed time zones which put me at arriving at 7:30 instead of 6:30. Be mindful of travel times when crossing this region. Although I realized I was racing the clock, I was committed and had my order planned and ready by the time I arrived. I was pleasantly greeted by Paris despite my late arrival and their lack of personnel. Although I was a last-minute customer, (which I hate to be) Paris never made me feel pressured or unwelcome in any way. Their St. Louis Style Ribs were still fall-off-the-bone delicious and I would highly recommend them if in the area. I did compliment them with their sweet and savory sauce but they were delicious either way. I truly wish I had more time to indulge in local barbecue but it was a satisfying one-night-stand. Until the next time Thatcher’s! I promise to come with more appetites and well before closing...

Traveling through and stopped by Thatchers. Dade-Trenton is fortunate to have this gem. Great experience. Inside is updated with clean. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Food is absolutely worth the stop. Started with the "Pig Pen" (fried green tomatoes which were perfectly done with excellent sauce) The Man of Smoke (brisket sandwhich) was amazing. One of our group had a Ruben, loved it. Our teen loved their regular cheeseburger, commented how good it was. Another had one of their loaded spuds which was huge and tasty. Chicken was a hit as well. Thatchers tables have three bottles of their sauces which you have to try. Each one was truly great in it's own way. Judging by the rubbed off label on our bottle of the Sweet and Savory, it is the local favorite. But the spicey is equally great, mix it in with the savory if need to tone it down. Do not miss the Mustard Gold, especially if you get onion rings. Price is more than reasonable for a sit down restaurant with great food and service.

We would definitely stop here again, highly recommended.
