This was the first time my sister and I had ordered from Hyderabad Hub in Troutdale and it is likely the last.
My sister ordered the Gobi Manchurian, an appetizer we planned to split, and the Chicken Tikka Masala Bowl for herself.
The cauliflower was overcooked to the point of mushiness and the "Manchurian" Indochinese Fusion sauce with spring onions tasted like tomato sauce.
The Bowl, which was the Chicken Tikka Masala with rice and "naan" was edible (hence the second of two stars), but lacked any of the complexity you expect from Indian cooking. The naan had the texture of pizza dough and was flavorless.
Oh, and I ordered the Chicken Tikka Dosa. It was not delivered at all. It seems the restaurant cancelled that dish - no reason given and no notification. I am getting a $13 refund some time in the next five days. Someone should explain to the proprietor why a $13 refund in five days for something you had planned for dinner that night is not appropriate.
We threw away the leftovers.
My advice would be to give this...
Read moreDon't like getting scammed. Scamming your customers even a little is bad junk. Doing it with "oh I don't know" and "that's an old sign" makes you that much more a creature of the Scamosphere.
The guy charged me more than the posted price. When I pointed it out he was irritated at me and acted like I asked him to deliver me a hot pizza from Calcutta. He said it was the correct price until I pointed to the sign. After a couple of minutes he figured out how to charge me the correct price. I asked him if it was made there and fresh today. He said it was and I continued making small talk about how good the food looked. He wasn't having it. Got my food and surprise-surprise. He gave me less than what was pictured on the menu. I told him he forgot to give me 4 pieces, to which he insisted that it only comes with 3. Pointed to the picture again saying it shows 4. Anyway, avoid this scammer and his awful tasting food. Couldn't even get my teenage boys to finish...

Then my brother went without hearing my experience and asked if he had paneer kathi rolls, to which, again without looking at him, he responded, we are out of paneer, very rudely.
This place doesn’t deserve a spot in the amazing Troutdale Cart Station. Our experience with other carts...
