I live within a mile of this place, and while the concept is great, there are MANY downsides. Parking: It is atrocious! I see that the owner has commented about this and has bragged about how many spots are available, however to get the number of parking spots (111 according to her), 80% of the lot is limited to the minimum size required for a "Compact" car......and as we speak, they are expanding to add additional parking to the North side of the lot. Clearly they know it's an issue. Street Access: Access is only available via SB on 257th St. Street Access: Exiting is only available via SB on 257th St. Menu Listing of the Carts is limited to random pics online. Tap Menu is not listed online at all...Given the amount of $ that was invested in this building/location, I'd think that an online presence would be priority one. Clear Growlers???? Clearly the owner went cheap on this and doesn't understand why beer growlers are brown. Beer is VERY susceptible to being "Light stuck" For those that don't know, just think "Skunk Beer" and then you'll know. Location: This place may do great sales in the from March-November, but when the East Winds kick in, this place is going to be a ghost town. These cart owners are in for a rude surprise when the winds start rocking 25+ mph sustained and gusting to 50mph for 2-3 weeks at a time. Honestly, living just down the street, I can't think of a worse location to put an "Outdoor" food cart. Someone didn't do their research. Cost: In order to recoup the $850K purchase of the property, and likely at least another $500 in development of the property, the owner not only charges the Food Carts a high location fee, but also a large sales %. This results in higher costs overall for all the food carts which means YOU pay more for the food. 9: Customer Service: Being so close, I've been on-site on multiple occasions and have seen first hand an "Attitude" by some staff members. It doesn't make for a pleasant experience. 10: Wait times: Through the roof......On average, every order I've ever placed has taken 30+ minutes. It's like the carts don't staff enough people to keep up with the demand (maybe to keep costs down, since they're paying so much to be there) 11: Overall: It's a beautiful building with a great concept, but was built with insufficient parking, with limited access, in a location that will be problematic in the winter and has poor a web presence and questionable...
Read moreWe always travel with dogs, it does say no dogs allowed. Good thing we have extra people to stand outside the fence with our pup & stare in at our peoples while they go get food in shifts. I do wish they would put in a shade sail & a few random benches around the outside perimeter of fence or parking lot, so travelers with pups could get legs stretched out of the car. That aside, the food trucks are lined on the outside of the building neatly in rows. Their menus have plenty of nice pictures of their food options right on the front. We did a round, then decided on sushi for my daughter & Beef bulgogi for me. The sushi roll was lovely, flavor was excellent. My Bulgogi was quite a bit of food for the money spent. The flavors were good, food hot & fresh. I was stuffed. We got a few Bobablastic, loved that the drinks werent too sugary. We love the Honeydew flavor with coconut added. We were happy with our experience, will come back again to eat on our way past Troutdale. *adding to my review, it says a lot about a business when you read how they respond to reviewers. I got a response from Owners. I think you missed the point or didnt read close enough...not that dogs weren't allowed inside, just that a lot of people own dogs who travel through would like a better quality area outside the chain link fence with shade from the baking sun & benches to have a nice place to eat their purchased meals. So in short, add some seating outside the "like other restaurants" area to help canine parents travels more accessible to spend their money here. Otherwise they might spend their money elsewhere that does have dog friendly seating. Some people's animals are like their children. I hope you dont go down the list & respond to everyone else who commented the same about No dogs allowed as being a negative, not very...
Read moreIt would be nice if they regularly refilled their hand soap, and if the bathroom didn't smell demonically bad. Septic tank smellin' ahh lavatory.
As for the food, I have no complaints, the carts here put the "excel" in excellent. But the way the bathroom smelled was evil beyond words, and I genuinely feared for my soul thereafter. The food I got had to have been triple-blessed for how feverishly I prayed following the unholy assault on my olfactory receptors. I am in contact with both a therapist and a priest for the PTSD (Post Traumatic Stench Disorder) I've sustained upon my misadventure into this accursed latrine.
In the meantime, I will mourn the part of myself that took its final breath here—and whew, what a breath it was—as what once were the remnant hopes and dreams of my fleeting inner child underwent a sudden and unceremonious mutilation from my soul and were buried alive without so much as a moment for me to bid them farewell. I arrived at the Troutdale Station Food Carts a whole man and departed a husk. My wife and my cats no longer recognize me, for what once was me is now darkened and obscured for ages to come.
Again, incredible food, looking forward to my next visit!
P.S. Due to the fact that a horror beyond the comprehension of mortal man has taken residence amidst the toilets here, don't be surprised if at some point the bathroom suddenly groans and shrinks into a ball of light like at the end of...
