3/38/24 Don't ask me why I went bank to this store again. My son suggested it for dinner, so what the hell. Drive from Piqua and placed order in store. 2-12" subs, 1 sm. fry and 1 lg fry came to just shy of $36.00. Unbelievable what a potato costs these days. These 2 frys were $11.00😱😱. While sitting there waiting for my order to be made FRESH and HOT, I saw an older employee male, short and with a grey beard and hair, scoop up fries (that had been sitting for I don't know how long) and put them back in the fryer to heat them up. Along side I'm assuming was a newer batch of fries that he then mixed together with the old ones. I said something to another male employee about this and he said he would take care of my order. When my order was handed to me by the older male, I looked him straight in the face and told him these were NOT FRESH and he said they were. I called BULLSHIT. The kid has done absolutely NOTHING to correct this as promised. I took the order outside to go home and first I tasted the fries. Warm at best, overcooked, dark, no flavor at all. I then proceeded to take them back inside. I took both orders out, left them on the counter with the employee on the grill and left. No refund, no nothing. I proceeded home where I took 1 bite from my Chicken Terryaki sub and wrapped it up and put it back in the sack to return to tomorrow and hopefully talk to whoever is in charge. It was so dam dry and tasteless I refused to eat it. As you can see this is not my only complaint with this store. It plain SUCKS anymore. Quality is lousy along with rude emoyees, quantities have shrunk to ludicrous portions, especially for the prices they charge. Almost $7.00 for a damn order of overcooked, stale fries. It's become a total joke. I've given them 3 separate chances and all I do is regret my choice to do so. Penn Station use to be a good sandwich and I loved their fries----NO LONGER. STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM...
Read moreI make a point of only leaving positive reviews, but I am making an exception for this. Ordering online at this location apparently does nothing to to get your food quicker than waiting until you arrive at the store to order. I clicked submit at 5:11PM for my online order, and the Penn Station website said it would be ready for pickup at 5:46PM (35 minutes after ordering). I figured it might be done a little earlier and arrived at 5:36, after all, does it take 25 minutes to get food when ordering in the store? I ended up waiting another 21 minutes until 5:57 to receive my food. So I received my food 46 minutes after submitting my order online. The very same thing happened to me a few weeks ago. I ordered online, got there 20 minutes later and waited several minutes past the estimated pickup time to get my food. Both times people who were standing in line to place orders when I arrived got their food before I did even though I had placed my order and paid online more then 20 minutes earlier.
One can argue that staff was busy and it just took longer to prepare the online order, but if that's the case, the Penn Station website should tell people when their order really will be complete. It seems that they do not start preparing online orders until the person placing the order arrives at the store or maybe even until the estimated pickup time. The previous time, when I arrived, I told the person at the cash register that I was there, and they announced it to the crew as if they could start my order then.
Also, this evening was the second time in less than two years that I realized when I got home that they didn't include the correct items in my order. So I ended up spending all that time ordering, driving, and waiting and still did not get the...

We recently visited the Penn Station East Coast Subs location in Troy, Ohio, and we couldn't have been more impressed. From the moment we walked in, the staff greeted us with warm smiles and prompt, friendly service. It's clear this location takes pride in both their food and customer experience.
We ordered the classic cheesesteak, fresh-cut fries, and an ice-cold Mountain Dew, and every item exceeded expectations.
The cheesesteak was phenomenal—perfectly grilled steak, smothered in melted provolone, and nestled in fresh, warm bread that was lightly toasted to perfection. The balance of flavors was spot-on, and the portion size was generous. Every bite was hot, juicy, and incredibly satisfying.
The fries were equally impressive. Hand-cut and made fresh to order, they were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and lightly salted—exactly how fries should be. You can tell they take the time to do them right, which makes all the difference.
As for the Mountain Dew, it was the cherry on top. Served ice-cold with the perfect carbonation, it paired great with the meal and rounded out the experience.
What really stood out was the exceptional customer service. The team behind the counter was friendly, efficient, and genuinely seemed to care about making our visit a good one. They checked in on us, kept the dining area clean, and handled a steady lunch rush with professionalism and speed.
We’ll definitely be returning soon. If you're in the Troy area and craving a great cheesesteak with unbeatable service, Penn Station is the...
