I have been dying to try Redberry for some time and this morning my mother, sister and I finally got to. The restaurant is super cute, clean and the atmosphere was what you'd expect for a busy Saturday morning breakfast crowd. The two ladies at the hostess stand were friendly and able to get us a table with only about a 5 to 10 min wait. We were seated in the enclosed patio area and quickly had someone asking for our drink orders. I asked the server what types of juice you offered because there wasn't any mention of beverages on the menu (with the exception of the drink specials with alcohol). At this point the waitress seemed to become annoyed with us as she rambled off Orange, Apple, Cranberry and Tomato Juice. Our drinks came, at which point she noticed we didn't have any silverware, said she'd be back with some. Then our food came, still no silverware. She left and came back with some. Each time our server was at our table bringing food or silverware, I tried to ask for hot sauce, but she was quickly gone again before I even had the chance. I know you are in the middle of a busy breakfast service, but it's Saturday morning and it would help to slow down and take your time to see that your guests are taken care of rather than quickly asking "Is everything okay" as you speed walk by the table and on to the next. Our food was good, warm temp and tasty. Good portions for the money. Overall, decent. I will say, the main reason I am writing a review is because there was one staff member in particular who was wearing a short dress and every time she leaned over to buss a table, her butt cheeks would show. Not something I or anyone else in my party wants to see... especially at a cute family breakfast place. I might be back for good food some day, but it's not on my list of priorities. Makes me sad, as I said, I had high hopes for this place and everything I'd seen on social media looked good. Plus I know this side of town is in dire need for restaurants. Let's hope the staffing issues are addressed and Redberry is around...
Read moreI was very excited to come here as I had heard great things about it since it opened. The atmosphere was really nice and we were sat on the "patio" which was like a closed in sunroom and for the cold weather even had heat lamps so it was very cozy. When looking at the menu (which I didn't feel was that extensive) I noticed there weren't any drink options so I asked our waitress if there was a drink menu and she said no. So, I guess there aren't any coffee options besides regular coffee. This is something I would really like to see in a brunch restaurant like this, some specialty coffees, teas, and hot chocolate. Also I was expecting to see mimosas and bloody Mary's which would have been really good but it didn't seem like they had any but I didn't specifically ask. I decided to order the pumpkin pancake special and it was pretty flavorless and I'm not sure it was cooked thoroughly. My husband ordered the pancakes and he liked them alright but they gave him very little syrup which just seemed odd for 5 pancakes. We both had a side of bacon which was perfectly cooked so that was a positive. And the portion size of the pancakes was huge. But the worst thing was that he ordered a fruit plate and it came out as the tiniest plate of fruit which was ridiculous because it was $6. I'm not exaggerating when I say it was a quarter of a banana, 1 strawberry, and a few raspberries and a few blackberries drizzled in honey. I mean it would have been delicious but is not anywhere close to being worth $6. The thing is I might be willing to come back and try something on the lunch side of the menu and maybe that would be better, but a restaurant like this really will have to step it up to keep a...
Read moreReally disappointed in redberry, I've been multiple times, not by choice, and it has never been more than boring and disappointing. Specifically, I got 2 eggs over hard and they were seriouly lacking in flavor and they were not hard in the middle. The sausage links i had seemed to be made by someone with no concept of what a sausage should taste like. The links were very dry, and they had absolutely no flavor. The seeming complete lack of care about how the things they make are flavored and seasoned disappoints me. The potatos were ok, they also lack flavor and anything interesting, but they were cooked appropriately. This is definitely going to be my last time going to redberry, I honestly wish they would fix the issues with the food because almost everything else about redberry is totally passable. Good service makes it not all bad, they just need to seriously revisit their menu, and whoever owns this place needs to talk to their chefs about seasoning and taste in general. I assume the chefs and cooks are somewhat competent since they got the food to my table. What I'm really feeling from this food, is a lack of confidence in the cooks own ability to properly season food, a little salt goes a long way when it's this unflavored. Just some things to consider. I'm not a hater, I really think you guys can fix these issues, good work and good management can turn these problems into good things. I wish redberry the best, hopefully you take my concerns seriously, and not as a personal attack. If the food gets better, you'll see me there again, until then there's...
