We were given tickets to see Tracy Bird and Jo Dee Messina as a Christmas gift and was really looking forward to the concert at Hobart Arena in Troy. We were in the first section off the floor in the first row at the end of the handicapped section on the aisle (Section 27 Row A Seats 3 and 4). These seats were specifically chosen so we would not have to stand. We no more than sat down and a man tripped on the stairs and dumped an entire order of cheese dip in my husband's lap. That was the best part of the night. Across the aisle were 5 women (also in the front row) who stood blocking the aisle the entire time. The arena was asked by three separate people to ask them to sit because they were blocking the entire handicap section and really had no need to stand. Nothing was done for them to move. We saw part of Tracy Byrd and none of Jo Dee. All we could do was listen to her. When they started dancing in the aisle we left. I asked one of them to move so I could get my husband up and she grinned and danced right into me. I am so disappointed in the arena. After talking to the mom of a wheelchair bound boy she said that they have been complaining for years about where the handicapped section is. I am pissed that we had to miss the concert but more disappointed for the young man in the wheelchair who could not see anything because people were thinking of no one but themselves. Please remember this post if you ever decide to get tickets at Hobart Arena...
Read moreFirst I paid 166.00 for tickets and waited 7 months to see Zach Williams. My boyfriend and myself were headed to our seats, Section 32, row C seats 5 and 6. As soon as I was on the 2 stairs going up, the last step was tiny. Didn't even see it due to lack of signage and light. I fell hard on the seats in front. I broke 2 ribs. Skinned elbows, knees and toes. I could not move. Had to be helped up. Could barely move. Some lady said they called the Paramedics. Ok, what can they do for broken ribs? Nothing. So the one lady brought ice. No report was taken by anyone there. I was only asked my first name. I sit there in pain through 4 bands. Had to go to the ER 2 days later, the pain was extreme. Got a CT and blood work done. I have barely been out since then. Someone needs to be held accountable for this. The owners are very aware how many people have fallen there. This is just totally unacceptable. Today is October 19th, this happened Oct 10th. Today is the first day that I have felt like...
Read moreI've been here for a few concerts, a circus, and now the ice racing. For the concerts we got great views of the artists and even got to meet them all. For the other events, there is not a bad seat in the house. In a small town like this we are blessed to have such a great venue available to us. It's a small venue so every seat is great. Concessions and restrooms are everywhere and short lines. There is an outside area to smoke. Ramps for easy wheelchair access. Basic food options, but a good beer variety. Wine was also available. My only complaint was, there was a guy and his son there, and they forgot something in their car. There is a no reentry policy. I understand why they do this, but it would not be hard to have one entrance that allows reentry. Sometimes people forget things and need to go back to the car for them, especially if they have small children. It would not be hard to...
