This is a very nice city park. It has all your typical park amenities. Shelter house, playground, tennis courts etc. What sets it apart is it's location and maturity. It is clearly a park that has been around for a while. Large, mature trees fill the park making it an ideal place for some shaded relaxation. The playground has been updated a number of times while leaving some of the older pieces of equipment. A neat way to show your kids the "way it used to be" while making sure there are plenty of ways for kids to have fun no matter their age. The river and path make for a great place to walk / exercise. While I don't live in the area, I have been through here on a number of bike rides and am always impressed with this park. This is probably my 4th time there and my first with a child.
