Troy City Park — Attraction in Troy

This is a very nice city park. It has all your typical park amenities. Shelter house, playground, tennis courts etc. What sets it apart is it's location and maturity. It is clearly a park that has been around for a while. Large, mature trees fill the park making it an ideal place for some shaded relaxation. The playground has been updated a number of times while leaving some of the older pieces of equipment. A neat way to show your kids the "way it used to be" while making sure there are plenty of ways for kids to have fun no matter their age. The river and path make for a great place to walk / exercise. While I don't live in the area, I have been through here on a number of bike rides and am always impressed with this park. This is probably my 4th time there and my first with a child. Fairly busy park, nicely shaded by some mature trees. Several shelter areas for enjoying the park or picnicking. There is always something going on here. There is a nine hole disc golf course here as well as nine tennis courts to choose from. There is a children's play area for the kiddos. Nearby is the Troy Civic Theater. The Great Miami River Recreational Trail runs right past this park as access can be had from this park. Lots...

Reserved the Brick House Shelter from the Troy City Park website. As clean as expected with it being totally open. Trash cans were there but didn't smell. Hot day but the park was being used in most capacities. Picnic tables were solid and our Gideon group of 10 got no splinters. No sticky spots on the floor. Good time...
