Troy Aquatic Park — Attraction in Troy

I was staying nearby and decided to take my daughter to this pool for her birthday. Not 5 min after we paid i sent the kids to the car because we forgot the pool toys. On the way back in they were stopped by a woman who told them they could not go in until they paid. My daughter told them we just did and the woman got smart with her about it until i walked over to see what happened and told her we already paid. Then we were eatin pb&j for lunch and did not have a knife so we asked concessions for one. The man said did u buy anything and when my daughter replied no he said then no you cant have one. We were from out of town and had simply forgotten to pack the knife. We then proceeded to buy almost $20 of what they called food. Then there was thunder so they called everyone out of the pool. I cannot physically lift myself out of the pool on the sides so i was walking toward the shallow end to get out. A lifeguard literally yelled at me to get out of the pool. I told her i was and she said...i said hurry. Excuse me but I am 47 years old and deserve respect from your lifeguards. I dont need to be treated that way by some stupid teen who walks around with her bathing suit up her butt pretending to keep people safe!!! Very disappointed with the experience we had today. Today was the first time our 2 year old was able to go to the pool this year, she was so excited it's all she could talk about. We get there at noon only to be told by a woman "Its adult swim she cant go in!" In an extremely rude tone and instantly crushed her excitement. A simple I'm so sorry we have adult swim going on right now unfortunately no children are allowed in at this time would have been the way to handle it.. Also to have adult swim til 12:30 is ridiculous adult only swim should be from 9-10am not in the afternoon. Also to not even allow parents to take kids 3 and under into the fenced in kiddy pool during adult swim is ridiculous. After taking our daughter back to the car spirit's crushed and balling her eyes out she finally calmed down and a half hour later when we came back paid and only got to enjoy the pool for an hour before a crazy storm rolled in out of nowhere and they closed the pool. We make our way back up to the front in hopes to get at least a credit for next time and they conveniently posted a sign AFTER the fact that stated "No refunds due to weather." Then we asked if we could leave and come back when the storm blew over and because we weren't pass holders they said no... extremely unprofessional staff and ridiculous policies. We will go to Huber instead even though we only live 2 minutes away...

I only gave one star because I couldnt give zero stars. Went here for a nice afternoon with my wife and kids and someone decided to bust out our van window and take a few unimportant items from the inside, (since we dont have alot of important things), but to make matters even worse we went to the front desk and told them about it and they said, "oh we are so sorry but theres nothing we can do, we had a bunch of these happen last summer." Yet I looked on the property, the grounds, and the parking lot and they had 1 tiny camera with so limited scope and zoom you couldnt identify ANYTHING!? Great place to go if you want your car broken into and a troy police report that isnt even worth the paper it's written on. Sad that in a small town there is still lowlife scum of the earth preying on families while they try to enjoy a little time with there family to unwind from working! I hope the low lifes get caught publicly beaten, what is wrong with people??? And troy aquatic park how about you offer your patrons some kind of peace of mind or protection from looters and vandals that apparently roam Troy, Ohio!
