My family and I went there for Christmas. We came around 12:20 p.m., and the place was packed. My sister and I got there earlier than everyone else, so we asked if they had a table for nine. We waited for a couple of minutes for a table to be available. After seating us, we waited for the rest of the group to arrive (we all came separately). After we were all seated, they started bringing carts for us to choose what to eat (which, along with most of my family—five out of nine people—it was our first time experiencing this style of service, and I was confused with what we were picking and eating). After the third cart, we finally asked for some menus. The waitress gave us two menus, and it took us a couple of minutes to look over and order. She never came back to check on us, so we had to get the attention of the male waiter so we could order. We end up ordering six dishes for the group. He said it was going to take 15-20 min, so we waited and talked (that was when my brother-in-law found out on their menu that they were charging 18% on service charge for the table of 6+; YIKES; wish they showed us that, lol). After waiting for 30+ min (it's fine, I'm understandable, it was busy, and we did order six dishes). They finally brought our food; the male waiter cleared the table (of the dishes; we ate earlier with the carts); they brought only five of the dishes, so we had to tell him they were missing an item. The food was meh to ok-ish—at the very least, it was edible (the best thing I ate was the white rice though, lol). The waitress kept leaving and disappearing from us. We kept having to get the attention of the male waiter (sorry, my man, appreciate you, thou). We finished and left. It cost over $200! The food is a little pricey. They charged $19 for a pork dish! It was my first time here. I'm sorry, but I won't be coming back. The restaurant, the experience—and it just wasn't for me. A 2-star service...
Read moreThis was a disaster! We went to the Royal Palace of Troy around 12:30 pm on 12/31/2022 to celebrate the New Year. We ordered about 13 dishes, the food tasted ok, and their service was fine. We left the restaurant around 2:30 pm. My husband started his first diarrhea around 5:30 pm. He then had diarrhea 8 times in the evening. He did not eat dinner that day. The next morning he had diarrhea again and then he started to feel a little bit better.
On the next day (1/1/2023), my firend started to have diarrhea. Whenever he ate, he had diarrhea. That was horrible, it sounded like he had food poisoning. His symptoms continued for 3 days and his wife had to give him Imodium (Anti-Diarrheal medicine) to stop the diarrhea. Poor guy!!
My 2 other friends who went to the Royal Palace together on 12/31/2022 had diarrhea too!! Thank God it is not too bad.
I invited my close friends to Royal Palace to have a good time together, to have a tasteful meal, but NOT this!! I feel so sorry about what happened to them.
I called the restaurant on 1/1/2023 1:44 pm to let them know what happened to my friends and my husband, the guy who talked with me on the phone mentioned he would let the owner know and get back to me later BUT they did NOT get back to me and today is 1/12/2023.
The food should be properly prepared, this restaurant should have better...
Read moreI had a terrible experience at the royal palace of Troy, also known as 豪庭. We were seated at table E4 by a hostess, and although there were only a few tables that had already placed their orders, the restaurant wasn't very busy. However, we ended up waiting for 10-15 minutes while tables that arrived after us were served.
We decided to take matters into our own hands and had to flag down a server to take our order. Initially, we were informed that a cart would come around later for us to order dim sum style, which we were fine with. Considering the restaurant was somewhat busy, we understood that it might take a little longer. However, every time the lady pushing the cart passed by, it felt like she was purposely trying to annoy us. She never asked us if we wanted anything, completely disregarded our presence, and didn't even make eye contact.
Meanwhile, tables that arrived after us were enjoying their drinks, meals, and dim sum. It seemed as though they were following the same dialogue . This disappointing experience has made me reconsider recommending this restaurant to anyone, despite being a loyal customer who has frequented it for quite some time. Moreover, this is not the first time I've had a negative encounter, and considering the negative reviews from other patrons, I am now hesitant to recommend...
