I recently had the pleasure of dining at Trussville Social, a vibrant bar and restaurant in Trussville, Alabama, and I can't say enough good things about this place. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff made us feel right at home. We started our meal with the fried green tomatoes accompanied by a kick-ass corn dip that was simply out of this world. The combination of flavors was a delightful twist on a Southern classic. Next up were the cheese breadsticks, which were perfectly baked and oozing with cheesy goodness. For our main courses, we opted for the Social Burger and a sandwich. The burger was cooked to perfection—juicy and packed with flavor—while the sandwich was equally impressive, showcasing the kitchen's attention to detail and quality ingredients. A highlight of our evening was when my goddess and life mate, Grim, asked our waitress to surprise her with a drink of her choice. The waitress crafted a unique cocktail that was both refreshing and expertly balanced, showcasing the creativity and skill of the bar staff. Overall, our experience at Trussville Social was nothing short of amazing. The combination of delicious food, exceptional service, and a warm atmosphere makes this spot a must-visit. If you're in the area, do yourself a favor and check out Trussville Social—you won’t be disappointed!

No. Just, no. My mother and I ordered food to go because it's the one night of the month we splurge on "real food". We'd never been here. The menu online looks great. We were hesitant because of the photos of the parking area, however, because neither of us can walk very far. But she called and they assured her there would be parking. So we placed the order and I went to pick it up. Note there was no parking. There weren't nearly as many people inside as there were vehicles in their parking lot. I used the disabled parking spot just to run in and pick up our to-go order. First of all, the entrance does not have a hostess stand, but the sign DOES say to wait to be seated. But no one will ever see you standing there. There is a stand-up table RIGHT by the entrance. I'm 5'3" & I just stood there and waited and waited and waited. There are several very bright coin games completely surrounding the entrance area. Very obnoxious and makes it hard for anyone to see you standing there. At least 2 employees were standing at the end of the bar next to the register chatting with each other. They BOTH looked right at me more than once and continued to ignore me. There didn't appear to be anyone behind the bar most of the time I stood there. Since I'd never been there before I had no idea where I was supposed to pick up my food. No sign anywhere. Finally, out of nowhere, a young man finally walked up and (seemingly confused) asked me could he help me. He acted like I didn't belong. I told him I was there to pick up a to go order and he told me to just walk up to the bar and she would get it for me. She was just plain rude. After I told her why I was there she walked away and then put two receipts in front of me (for one order). When I told her they were together she snatched it back up and walked away. Then she plopped 2 bags and shoved a pen and receipt at me and just walked away. The atmosphere is very echo-y & just grates on the nerves. There's nothing to dampen the effect of just NOISE inside. Too many lights vying for dark corners. Wayyyy too many television sets, not that you could hear ANYTHING playing on any of them (& it wasn't even a quarter capacity). Well,I got the food home. The ribeye didn't at ALL look like a ribeye. I'd swear it was a sirloin at best. But it was cold, overcooked, and dryyyyy. The fries were soggy, the mixed veggies were undercooked. There was no bread. The brisket baked potato was also really incredibly dry. And it was cold when prepared because the butter directly touching the potato under the meat and cheese was not even melted. The fried green tomatoes would have been very good except they were slightly burned. The funnel cake fries were also very soggy. They are advertised as coming with caramel and chocolate dip, but all we got was caramel. We don't live far enough away from this location to account for the cold food. And after a $10 tip, which honestly no one there deserved a tip for that food and that service, our total was over $71. My dogs got more food than my mother was able to actually eat. Just don't waste your time or your money. It might be a great bar, but it needs to pick a lane and stay there. Because they aren't capable of being both a restaurant AND a bar. Oh, and the prices are higher than even Longhorn for a smaller steak....

Not worth it. Been a few times and so far, none of the experiences have been worth the wait or money paid for the food and drinks. Most recently, we went with a bigger crowd on a Saturday night (which was understandably pretty busy.) Our waitress was brand new but she was very friendly and attentive. Some of our orders were messed up however.

I order a large order of wings, someone else in the party ordered large wings in a different flavor. My wings were given to the other party member, and this was only discovered after they had already eaten a handful of the wings. My (their) order gets delivered so I hand it to them while I wait for mine. Meanwhile, my wife was at the bar ordering a drink. The bar was busy which again was very understandable given the weekend night, but she was standing behind two guys that asked if she needed to order and they flagged down the bartender, Luke, without her asking them to do so. He was ringing up orders or something when they asked him to take her order, to which he did very unkindly, essentially throwing the pen at her to sign while also charging a $3 convenience fee.

Meanwhile, other orders were incorrect at the table which made it seem like the kitchen was having a rough time, and one person had not gotten their quesadilla for over an hour after multiple requests and many other quesadillas being served to other parties that ordered after us. Eventually, someone said something to the manager or owner, and two quesadillas were brought out as a way to say thank you. The person that ordered said “I only need one, thank you though” to which she was told “well now you have two.”

The staff are mostly nice and the food isn’t terrible, just nothing special. Drinks are subpar and overpriced and I will definitely be avoiding from now on. It may be other people’s scene and they may like the food, but it...

We came here the day after Christmas to take my dad out for his birthday. We had been here once before and it was a great experience. That was 6 months ago. We were excited to take them there because we had enjoyed it once before. Unfortunately this time was not pleasant.

My biggest issue was with the wait staff. The hostess didn't smile once and seemed almost bothered we came in. She seated us, and I said "thank you" and received zero response. The server was also not very pleasant and didn't seem to know anything about the beer menu. She said "I'm not the right person to ask those questions" nor did she care to go get someone who did know to help facilitate questions. I can be understanding of not knowing things about the menu if you're still learning, but to not have any initiative in seeking an answer and acting like you couldn't be bothered by the questions is unacceptable. Mind you, there were plenty of staff there hanging out at the bar talking, and the resturaunt was NOT busy by any means. The water tasted funny (like it was straight from the sink), and when it came time to order, they were out of 3 different items we tried ordering.

We were difficult by no means and I'm extremely understanding of wait staff as I was a server for many years. But this experience (mostly due to the punctuality and professionalism of the staff) turned me off completely to coming back. Even as the server would bring things to our table, I said "thank you" and got no "you're welcome", no smile, nothing. When she'd come to refill the water she would just reach out her hand, without saying anything, like we had to read her mind that she was asking for our empty water cup to take away and refill. The food overall was okay. The wings were really good. But the service has either gone downhill in the 6 months we've been or is...
