It's not THE greatest. Unfortunately for them, they were up against a very long mental build up. I have wanted to go here for at least 5 years. Driving past it...loving breakfast...begging to go local..so I finally went. The atmosphere was nice. What I had hoped it would be. The food was not inspiring, but it wasn't Corporate so. This is mid covid when I went. There are a number of breakfast places I would put ahead of The Breakfast Stop. That's no judgment on them, mere proper recognition of some Tucson legends. Brawleys. Bobos. Triple.T.Truckstop(whatever is the name of the restaurant there..). The Kettle buffet. That said, if it's breakfast and you, like any True and Honest American Patriot Person are contently inclined to boycott the Corporation when possible, and seek new foodrizons. Then stop in:maybe they do your favorites better. Maybe you find something new. In any case I'm certain you will enjoy the company, the space, if you put down your phone, enjoy a home cooked meal..while you're out; and people watch. Get to know your neighbors again. It's a rare place to see everyone without masks, doing something that needs to be done to save our sanities, out communities and our local businesses.

This awesome little mom n pop style 1 room restaurant is an instant favorite for me... I will definitely be back! We had the stop special and the huevos mexicana (among 2 of the reccomendations the lovely and friendly waitress gave us) and added on 2 green corn tamales (they make in-house...so GOOD!!!.. Everything was amazing... I cleared my plate in record time! My highlights were the tamales for sure, and the rice and beans for the huevos mexicana were also particularly awesome being well spiced and flavored! They were consistently having every table full throughout our sunday morning breakfast... but the efficient staff were cleaning and turning tables fast as they were vacated. Will definitely be back... I'm kicking myself for driving past this little hole in the wall gem so many times (over 3 years) and only stopping in now! Also, I've learned that all pancakes are micky, mouse shaped Edit: I still love this place.... and the service is always awesome! Edit #2: have been over 10 times now.... still have never ever gotten bad service... intead quite the opposite CONSISTENTLY amazing service.... what an awesome team..... =]

It is on 22nd just east of Craycroft if you blink you miss it especially if you're not looking for it. It's closer to the Chase Bank on 22nd on the north side of 22nd. It has pretty ample parking space when you walk in you seat yourself at the first available table. With that being said the seating is limited but it has tables, a few booths, and traditional bar seats. The service was good, the best thing was that I ordered a hot chocolate and they brought me water without even asking or making a face when my friend ordered coffee and requested a water as well. They have varied breakfast & lunch meals from traditional American to traditional Mexican. I selected a more traditional Mexican meal: two eggs made to order, refried beans, salsa, tortilla, and your choice of a corn or beef tamale. I ended up receiving the the beef tamale instead of the corn tamale but it was great and once the corn tamale came out I still preferred to beef one.

When you first walk in, you stand there awkwardly for a minute or 2 wondering whether you're supposed to seat yourself or wait. Apparently, seat yourself. We came for breakfast on a Thursday morning- not busy so it was nice. The restaurant isn't very appealing with dilapidated yellow paint, grout in desperate need of a deep clean, old tables propped up with napkins to keep from wobbling; however, it had pretty good reviews over all- so let's try it out.. i got the bacon and eggs- with homefries and toast. Toast came with the tiniest smear of neon yellow on it. I assume it was butter-but the color says crayola. My scrambled eggs were so dry and crumbled i couldn't even get them on the fork. My husband either. Bacon seemed to be that reheated microwave bacon- awful and not crispy in the slightest. The breakfast potatos weren't crispy- greasy and mushy. My toddler got French toast- no complaints from him- didn't eat the scrambled egg or bacon..actually he chewed the bacon and spit it out. And that kid loves bacon. The apple juice he also made a face at. I tried it and it had a terrible aftertaste. Idk if it was bad or what. Service was friendly. Nothing over the top- but she came by for drink refills and food came quickly.

It seems their non breakfast food gets higher reviews. Maybe one day we'll try for...

I get why its called breakfast stop now. Breakfast is delicious dont get me wrong never had a complaint till now. I regret going in for lunch. Ordered a Burger which was soggy and small. Good presentation except it had NO FLAVOR. My guest had a chicken dinner plate they forgot to give us the bread that it comes with and the chicken was like kid size. When we got there I felt a different ambiance. Its like all the staff was dragging their feet. I took a minute to order because I didnt know what I wanted the waitress had us waiting for 10 mins till she returned and there was only a handful of people. We ordered a cup of coffee and a soda she came back and set my soda right on the edge of table. THIS IS MY PET PEEVE WHEN YOU BRING ME SILVERWARE AND "NAPKINS" PLEASE BRING ME MORE THAN 1. Burger was messy and I was never asked for a refill on my drink. I always leave a good tip 20% or more. I been here several times. Today I just left my dollar change. I believe breakfast hours are just fine. I always say if your good at something keep doing it. Big menu, longer hours make sure you all are here for your customers and be...
