â ââââ Heartbreaking Experience â Taco Bell (22nd & Wilmot)
Iâve been coming to this location for a while now, never had an issue before. I liked itâclean, convenient, food always fresh. But after what happened today, I donât think Iâll ever be back.
I walked in with a $100 bill, ready to make a purchase. They told me they couldnât break it because they just changed shifts. I accepted that and respectfully asked if I could use the restroom in the meantime. I was told flat-out noâbecause I hadnât made a purchase.
Thatâs where I had to speak up. I tried to make a purchase. It wasnât my fault they couldnât take my money. I wasnât being rude, loud, or disrespectfulâI was calm and clear. But instead of showing understanding or courtesy, the manager, Erica Ashwin, doubled down and dismissed me.
When I said Iâd be contacting corporate, she told me flat out, âWe donât care. This is a franchise, itâs not going anywhere.â That right there showed me all I needed to know about how they view their customers. It wasnât until I said Iâd speak to the owner directly that she backed off and handed me the numberâwith a cold âHere, just get out of here.â
Come on. I could understand if I walked in looking sketchy, strung out, or causing problems. But I wasnât. I came in clean, respectful, and just trying to spend money. Iâm a project manager myselfâI know what customer service should look like. And this wasnât it.
Reading the reviews now, Iâm not surprised. I shouldâve paid more attention to the pattern. It hurts to know Iâve supported this place so many times without knowing how they really treat people.
I genuinely hope this review reaches the right eyes. Iâm a good, honest guyâand I truly believe I wasnât in the wrong. Managers should know better. Theyâre supposed to lead by example and make customers feel welcome. Erica chose to hide behind a policy she couldâve easily handled with a little humanity.
Bad look, Taco...
Read moreI never have a good experience here, and only visit this location because it is down the road from me. My order is frequently incorrect, even when using the mobile app (so you can't fault the drive thru equipment on that). Every quesaritto box has an invalid PS4 code because they've all mysteriously been used before being sold. But the kicker happened last week on the Saturday night shift.
I placed my online order, correct location and all. As I arrived, my app alert popped up for me to check in, so I did. They claimed not to have my order. I waited a few minutes, and it still hadn't come through. The cashier I was speaking to basically meandered off when I began questioning her on what happens now, seeing as how I had paid for the order yet no one was giving me food. A shift lead wandered over to see if I had been helped, so I retold the situation to him. I showed him where I placed the order in my app's order history. I showed the pending transaction with my bank. Nothing but "Huh...that's weird..." from the shift lead. He just kept saying "we don't have your order", and offered no resolution. Not a refund, not the food (my order was only $5 for a burrito and drink), not advice on who to contact about the issue, nothing. He said I would not be charged since I was given no food. I showed him the app's terms of service that show you're charged when you check in at the store as I had done. He had no answers and walked away.
Luckily, after a call to customer service the next day, I'm getting a $5 coupon. I wasn't trying to con anyone out of a huge meal, I just wanted what I paid for. It has been a few days since I placed the order, and it was taken from my account as I explained ed would happen to the shift lead. This location did nothing to make this issue right, and that is par for the course. This is the worst Taco Bell I have...
